We are each in the middle of something big right now—a new project, a transition, a profound growth. The contraction of Virgo season, and especially in the last few degrees that we experienced this week, has reached a critical point of pressure. And the autonomic response to extend, expand, or explode is happening like popcorn all around us as we enter Libra season. Perhaps you’ve even noticed it within yourself.
There is an abundance of excitement veering into states of overstimulation and exhibiting as stress and anxiety. It feels like a lot of folks are on a personal edge, so absorbed in the monumental shifts happening to them directly that they lose sight of the fact that they’re not alone at this precipice. We are teetering between true individuation, and toxic individualism.
Individuation can be defined as the simple act of being identified or distinguished from others, but it is also relational. One cannot be individuated without the other. And therefore, individuation also illuminates our integral relationship with the other, with the Whole.
Individualism is a practice of being wholly independent and therefore self-serving. While it is a healthy practice to put your own oxygen mask on before helping others, it seems that folks are less inclined to follow through on the latter.
You are going through so much and so is the person next you. Not everyone is doing their best. But it is not your job to take that upon yourself. You are not responsible for the behavior, words or actions of others. You are responsible for your own.
You don’t have to be perfect. You can fumble. You can full on fail!
Even still, remember your personal responsibility as a way of honoring your individuation. We know that our words and actions have a rippling effect beyond even the interaction at hand. A kind gesture or a pause for a breath can create another in turn. Humbleness opens doors where we’ve been banging our heads against a wall. There are battles out there that are bigger than our individual personhood. We need each other. We need cooperation and collaboration because as a people unified in understanding, we are more powerful than the systems that strive to condition us.
This New Moon in Libra, we are invited to reach out to one another. To make the connections we may have been brushing past last season in an effort to get where we were going quicker. A new moon is a time of closing and releasing to start anew, and in Libra this could mean in our relationships, decision-making, and value systems. Today’s moon is opposite Jupiter, which can offer opportunities of luck, expansion and success, or create a tension for greed and over-indulgence. Again, we are faced with the choice to think about ourselves in isolation, or ourselves as a part of a Whole. We are reminded of the natural law of reciprocity. Spirituality nourishes our emotional world and through emotional wellbeing, we embrace spirit.
Mercury Rx is conjunct Venus and trine Pluto today which could actually bring about the communication of what needs to be transformed, or transformative communication. Mercury Rx and Venus are in Virgo, so be aware of any inclinations toward perfectionism in what or how you are communicating.
FOR THE BODY
Libra rules the kidneys, bladder, pancreas and the organ of the skin as it relates to touch.
â—¦
After the detoxification of Virgo season, now focus on purification and starting with a clean slate. If you haven't done a fall cleaning of your home, get to it, Marie Kondo.
â—¦
Drink plenty of water as fall is a vata season and we can easily become dehydrated. Add in some cranberry juice for a healthy urinary tract and pee more!
â—¦
Cook with thyme or drink tea with rose and damiana to relieve stress and open your heart space.
â—¦
Work with rose quartz, opal, blue or green aventurine and blue lace agate to clear your throat energy, bolster your heart space and open yourself to new possibilities.
â—¦
Dab some Angelica essential oil on your wrists and solar plexus to bring balance and harmony to your self and all you touch.

Six months ago at the vernal equinox, I was inspired to write about Starting Anew. I had a vision of timeline dynamics, what it meant to “step into a new timeline” in one’s life. In this vision, I was shown a great sunken living room with a floor that revolved in a spiral, like those screensavers of fractals. Each “thing,” each choice within the living room led off into another timeline, a doorway into another sunken living room that revolved seemingly infinitely. But in order to enter the new timeline (the next living room) at each decision there was a step up and out of the current one, a crossing of a doorway threshold, and finally, a step down into the new/next timeline.
So often we talk about “stepping into a new timeline,” a new version of us and our life, as if it was a skip across a puddle, or a coat we could just throw over our shoulders and keep going. When, what I was shown, is that each step is significant. Yes, you may be in a moment of preparation, but that is JUST as significant as the moment you use the skills you have been honing. When we step up and out of a timeline, we have to leave some things behind. We elevate to eliminate, and then it is necessary to come down again into our earthly body to learn the operations of the new timeline.
In my experience, Libra season is more about judgment than justice—removing the blindfold, using all of your senses, to see clearly what is the truth of a situation and being able to make a discerning judgment. Libra seeks diplomacy and balance, but in detriment avoids conflict and truth to satisfy this desire. Let us look beyond our noses, be truly honest with ourselves and with each other about what is. There is no blame and no fault in this kind of modesty, only the clean slate of awareness from which we can fully step forward and into something new.
Today the sun and moon are in Gate 46—The Gate of the Determination of the Self. This is the gate that carries the love of the body as a temple, the spirituality of accepting that one is in the right place at the right time. Your physical incarnation in this very moment is EXACTLY where you are meant to be. You receiving this Moonsletter, whether you love it or are bored to tears and wondering why you’re still reading, is exactly what will propel you into the next moment of your existence; which is exactly where you are meant to be, then. Acceptance is the key to presence, and presence is the continuously opening doorway through which we experience life harmoniously. Because regardless of where you or I are at, it is significant.
