Farrant Family Update:
GRADUATION
PETER MARK
We are so proud of our oldest who recently graduated High School in May! He's been working hard as a lifeguard and is saving his money to start YWAM Kona this coming January. He feels called to be an evangelist.  .

Summer Recap…

We were able to host over 200 youth and adults in El Salvador this summer. We handed out Bibles to children in remote villages, preached the gospel in church services, on the streets and in schools. We went on many home visits to pray for the sick and bring food to many families in need. Our summers are always full of adventure and fill us with so much joy knowing we can bring life changing hope to the people of Central America.

No Greater Love Orphanage: Pressing Through
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
Galatians 6:9

Building an orphanage has been one of the biggest projects we’ve ever taken on. Often times, we can get overwhelmed as we look at all of our next steps. But when we feel overwhelmed, we take a look back and thank God for all he has helped us  accomplish. In the last few years since we launched the orphanage project, we have seen God’s hand in so many different ways:
  • He has provided over two hundred thousand dollars for us to invest into phase one and phase two
  • We built and completed phase one and two
  • We hosted over 100 teams
  • Jonathan was able to finalize his residency in El Salvador
  • Legal paperwork was approved by the government of El Salvador
  • The orphanage houses have been furnished & are ready to receive children
  • We brought in staff that feel God’s call to serve and raise children
  • We were able to break ground on phase three
One thing we have learned through this process is that we do our part and then we wait for God to do His part. Our westernized mindset sometimes can feel anxious because things aren't getting done quickly enough. But we have to continually remember, it is all in God’s perfect timing.

Another obstacle we’ve had to deal with, on the construction side, in the past several months has been the enormous amount of rain. Pouring the footers has been nearly impossible. Too much rain makes construction very difficult and has slowed things down quite a bit. But again we patiently await for God's perfect timing.

Prayer request for things we need to have approved for the Orphanage in the next few months:
  • Health department inspection
  • Fire and rescue inspection
  • Final Permitting CO (Certificate of Occupancy)

In the midst of juggling all of our mission projects, I felt called to put my name in for school board here in Orlando, FL. Our public schools and community are in need of a courageous leader who will protect the innocence of our children and help our schools get back to education. It’s not like I was looking for another assignment, but when I saw this attack against my own children and over 200,000 other students here in Orange County I knew it was time to rise up. We have been amazed to see how God continues to give us favor in Guatemala, El Salvador and now in our hometown of Orlando, FL as we step out and say YES.

Please pray with me for continued favor in our district. The run-off election will be November 8th and we are believing for a huge God victory!

Prayer Needs:
• Please be praying for Alicia as her run-off election is coming up November 8th. We have never faced such persecution and demonic opposition. This is truly a spiritual battle that will only be won through prayer. We are believing for a great victory!

• For the orphanage, that we will be able to move forward in spite of all of the set backs we have recently faced. There are children who need to be rescued and although we feel like we are months behind, we know God's timing is perfect.

• That our oldest son, Peter Mark, would be able to raise the finances needed to attend YWAM Kona. He is excited for this new season of life!

• We are thanking God for keeping us safe during Hurricane Ian. There was lots of flooding in our area but our house was not affected. Thank you to everyone who kept us in your prayers.

All For HIS Glory,

Jonathan & Alicia
