Hi friends,
The rain earlier this week made me want to take a lot of naps, and I wish I could say I honored my sleepy desires, but I didn't. Instead, I squeezed in time with my visiting parents, took soul nourishing client calls, and made time to do the things that light me up, namely this newsletter and my blog. I'm excited to carve out more time for this in the coming weeks.
Which brings me to an interesting idea I recently proposed on Instagram. Inspired by the team at
Big Little Feelings, I put an ask out to my community. Kristin from BLF does an annual hotel stay all by herself with the intention to unwind and recharge. I love that idea, but given that I am still in the early stages of building this new business, I want to take a few nights away and do a work sprint without any distractions. I also don't want to pay NYC hotel prices, so I asked my IG friends if anyone has travel coming up and if so, could I house sit for them while they're gone? I was pleasantly surprised to hear from more than a handful of people with offers! Now it looks like I'll be very conveniently staying at my neighbor's house in early November. It's been a few years since I've really been alone and while my goal with this “trip” is to work on my business, I'm also looking forward to sleeping in past 7am. I'll share more as we get closer to it, so stay tuned. I'm already looking forward to it.
