Web DeVELOPMENT and ELEMENTOR EDUCATOR

Earlier this week I attended a business retreat in the sunny, warm and beautiful Scottsdale, AZ 🌡🌴

It was my first time ever traveling to Arizona (I'm a HUGE fan of being in new places!!), and it was also my first time joining this type of retreat to dive deep into my business and reach for growth heading into 2023 and beyond.

I picked up a few great nuggets during my time – which means you'll be benefiting from LOTS of new business tips + tricks in my emails and on social media (follow me on IG if you haven't already!) – and I'm kicking off today by getting back to the basics of where this all started.

______

I was groomed for success. My entire academic and athletic career was designed to gain me entrance into a prestigious college, which would of course lead to a fulfilling and high paying job directly out of college.

(Cue the 2008 financial crisis 😱 )

Prestigious college? βœ…
Fulfilling and high paying job right out of college? Turns out those didn't exist in the same quality and quantity when I graduated in 2013.

I ended up in hospitality for about six years, which gave me my love of luxury client experiences and the sales training that helped me start my own business – and here I am today running a successful web development studio and living life on my terms.

But I digress…

My entire life growing up was geared toward a very specific goal, when in fact there are plenty of ways to make a decent living without going to college, without going to law or med school, and without finding a corporate job.

______

When I first started my business, it was for selfish reasons. I wanted to live life on my own terms. I wanted to have time and space freedom. I wanted to be able to grow at my own pace. I wanted to stop hearing β€œno” from men who disregarded my big ideas. I never wanted to wait on another table or serve another well shaken martini ever again (kudos to those of you who take on this back-breaking work!!!)

But attending the retreat this weekend helped me solidify a deeper reason that's propelling me forward into 2023.

Sure, I still value time and space freedom, and making sure my bills are paid – but now that I have a strong foundation in place, I want to help other entrepreneurs and future entrepreneurs (like you!) learn a useful skill from someone who is knowledge on the subject, and full of compassion for eager students.

And no, this won't be some extreme pivot into high ticket coaching and mastermind programs – so please don't be scared away thinking I'll just be another girl boss storming into your inbox with a new launch every other week.

Moving forward I'll still be working directly with clients to build strategic websites and studios + designers who need to outsource web development.

In addition, I'll be creating more content, both free and paid, that helps brand designers and virtual assistants EXPAND into offering WordPress website services, and learn how to use Elementor Pro to build strategic, responsive websites.

The world of the web can be so intimidating (and male dominated) and in 2023 I plan to disrupt the space by becoming a go-to resource for all things WordPress and Elementor Pro.

If you have ever considered expanding your services to include building WordPress websites, I would love to hear from you.

Respond to this email with your biggest struggle to getting started with WordPress, and I'll reach out with an actionable tip or trick you can use to overcome that hurdle!

Talk soon,
Christina
