Hi First name / friend— This week, I'm letting you in on a few hacks that make my life easier. As we enter the its-almost-the-Holidays season, I've included a recipe for you to try on an evening that needs something quick and healthy, a product that adds a fresh new touch in a busy house - and social media app that you can ask your kids (or grandkids) about next time you see them. I'm reminded in this season of preparation, to be intentionally PRESENT. It's the greatest gift we can give ourselves and our families. The gift of focused attention. |

[QUICK] dinner that everyone loved: |

Feta, tomato, basil pasta. It literally took less than 5 minutes to get in the oven and my older girls can make it in a pinch. If you’re gluten-free, dairy-free - no problem. Swap out for gf pasta and use a goat milk feta (Costco has a great one.) I grilled some Gilbert’s sausages (also Costco) to go with it to pump up the protein. |

I asked three of my friends (with middle school kids) this week if they had heard of this new-ish social media app, BeReal - and they said no. So, thought I'd share it with you here. It's important we're up on what our kids (and their friends) are being exposed to. BeReal is a social media app that was developed a couple of years ago, and is coming in hot this year at school. I asked my high-school Senior intern, Brianna Tappendorf, to share an overview about how it works and what's good and bad about this new app. |

Even though it reads like one. This is not an ad. I'm just loving these right now. I had two high-traffic areas where my old rugs were getting crushed with dirt and grime. I’m about 60 days into this journey and just washed them both - and they literally came out of the dryer like new. No curling. No shrinkage. No “geez-I-wish-it-looked-like-new-again’ regrets. And I didn’t even read the washing instructions. Just threw them in. #justsayin I don’t have one for outside my entryway yet - but that’s where I’m heading in the spring. Feel like it gives such an inviting vibe. Totally recommend. If you haven't heard of these, Ruggable makes machine-washable and stain-resistant rugs AND just came out with chairs. Swoon. |
