First and foremost, thank you! Thank you, thank you, thank you. This was the first week that Honored Body operated in a physical location combining my bodywork practice and Human Design counseling and if you don't think you had anything to directly do with it, you did! I would not have had nearly half the confidence to embark on this journey without your support of the Moonsletter. There will be plenty of bumps in the road and mistakes to be made, but I woke up every day this week pinching myself that I get to fully commit to doing what I love and growing into my unique space in the Cosmic Whole. It is magnificent and
you facilitated that, First name / my dear friend.
If Virgo season was the gut-cramping detoxification of our lives, then Libra season is the purification and reorientation. The season of I will make this beautiful again. Where eliminations were made last month, there can be a cleansing, a repurpose, a remodel.
We’ve been in a period of intense retrogrades. Reflection and revisitation have been the highest order, as uncomfortable as they may be. And in doing so, you may have discovered something beneath the mundane, beckoning. Do not make the mistake of stiffening up against the current that wants to take you somewhere new just because its direction is uncertain. Uncertainty is a wide open spectrum of possibility, it is a portal. And it cannot be avoided. No matter how much research we do, how much planning, variables are inevitable. We do not exist in a petri dish.
Growing up with horses, one of the first lessons I learned was to have soft hands and a soft seat—which is to let your body move with the horse. My pony, Nelson, was a southwestern punk with a penchant for pitching little girls on their backs. He was never vicious, but if he was feeling frisky, it was rodeo time. My sister and I learned early on that trying to resist his movements would only end in the dirt or worse, in injury. You had a better chance of staying in the saddle if you loosened your spine and your hips, letting the bucks and kicks just move right up through your body. And eventually, he’d come back down to all four feet and continue on like the smooth operator he was.
Nelson and me doing our best Kate Bush and running up that hill.
When we approach uncertainty with rigidity, we are an easy target for bruising. A ship’s boards must move along sutures in order to not split apart at each breaking wave. You can be soft and still maintain your own course.
This is what I would like to offer you for this full moon. Grace.
Grace to meet uncertainty with openness.
Grace to hold love for yourself above any external standards.
Grace to be the rider who learns as they go.
Heck, get on a mechanical bull if you can, just to get the sensation in your body.
Tomorrow’s Full Moon in Aries will reach its zenith at 1:54 pm PST, and with it a strong desire for love and being valued as we are. Because now, we know it and we are no longer afraid to ask for it. The full moon is opposite Venus in Libra, reflecting back to us the importance of our relationships, not just having them, but the importance of their quality and what they bring to our lives. The moon is also conjunct Chiron (by a couple degrees) which could put a bit of a shadow over our feelings. Chiron, the wounded healer, in Aries wants to show us where we have wounding around initiating and starting new things. You may find yourself grappling with feelings of “should I stay or should I go?” Enter Mars square Neptune and Saturn square Uranus to shake things up a bit with a – perhaps less than practical – magic approach to life and an abstract or unconventional sense of order, and you’ve got a real flair for chaos if left unchecked. Thankfully the moon is sextile Saturn, which offers us some emotional maturity and the ability to apply lessons learned.
Are you maintaining a relationship out of fear of the uncertainty that would come from change?
FOR THE BODY
Aries rules the head, eyes, face and brain.
â—¦
Play a game Sunday night, something like Scattergories, Scrabble, or Charades where one creates meaning out of chaos.
â—¦
Feeling overwhelmed? Place two wet, green tea bags in the fridge or freezer for a couple minutes, then place over your eyes for a cooling break. Same thing but cozy? Rub your palms together until they are warm and then gently cup your eye sockets.
â—¦
Time to switch up your skin care routine, if you do so seasonally. Keep the SPF, but add in some rich hydration and gentle exfoliants to prepare yourself for those long winter months ahead.
â—¦
Work with carnelian, red jasper and bloodstone to boost your confidence. Alternatively, tiger's eye and unakite will soothe any impulsive behavior and protect your energy.
â—¦
Drink nettle tea as a grounding, evening alternative.

The energy of Libra seeks harmony. It is not inherently harmonious or even balanced, for if it was so content then beauty would not be so delightful. But to achieve balance can lead to stagnation. When two sides of the scale are equal, they eventually stop moving. And an immovable object takes a harder hit from a moving variable than one that is already in motion itself. Nature is never stagnant. Harmony is in the flow, in the movement.
This is a vata season; quick, airy, transitional. Libra is propelled out of chaos and uncertainty, like from the backside of a magnet. During this season, our motivations are refreshed. What you started six months ago, is likely reaching its peak and new action is in order. Perhaps you look back and you can’t even believe how far you’ve come in six months! There's less of an urgency to paddle ahead. We can ride this current for a minute as long as we stay soft in the seat.
