Hi friends,

As you read this note, I hope you have a pleasant start to the week.

I have a full week ahead consisting of three consecutive nightly Zoom meetings. While one of those meetings was booked weeks ago, I booked the other two, which was not a great idea. While I am excited about all three meetups, this week taught me to plan better and create a new rule; "When I have an online meetup or an outing during the workweek, I will protect the rest of the week from evening commitments." I will also consider scheduling my upcoming 3-day online workshops in the same way; one session a week. What do you think?

Speaking of meetups, will you show up tonight at 9 pm to watch my Live session on (How to Manage Your Time and Increase Focus) on the private podcast listeners' Facebook group? If you haven't already, join the group here, there will not be a replay 🤷‍♀️.

Here is your weekly dose of The Sunday Spark ⚡️ a newsletter listing 5 inspiring things I thought were worth starting your week with:

2. 🎧 Get Disciplined About Your Discipline is a 1-hour podcast conversation between two of my favorite authors, Jon Acuff and Ryan Holiday, where Jon interviews Ryan about his new book Discipline Is Destiny: The Power of Self-Control.They also discuss Ryan’s creative process and why he lives on a ranch. Ryan is one of the most prolific writers I know. He sends a daily email called the Daily Stoic, and a daily parenting advice email called the Daily Dad.

3. ❓ Enjoy this short read, Happy, Smart, and Useful, by the genius Derek Sivers about three things to consider when making life-size decisions.

4. 🍿 A movie my husband was right to pick on Netflix: A Stand Worthy of Men وقفة رجالة. I highly recommend this heartwarming, fresh, and funny Egyptian film.

5. 💬 I have not meditated since summer, but today I started again because I know my mind needs it, just like this quote reminds us:

The body benefits from movement, and the mind benefits from stillness."
Sakyong Mipham.

You replied, and I listened. I know you have been missing the personal notes. I have missed writing them too, but I never meant to stop them, I was taking a pause. As Austin Kleon says, this newsletter is free but not cheap, so I’m trying to find a better way to streamline the production of this newsletter. Would you like to know more about how I put it together? Let me know.

Also, do you like the previous tightly bulleted list of sparks or this spaced format? Share with me your thoughts, please 🙏. Don't foget to tell me your favorite spark!

See you next Sunday 😊 First name / my dear friend
