Fall in NYC is fully underway! The orange leaves are trickling to the ground, the air feels fresh and crisp, and the skies are a sunny blue. I've been taking long walks and trying to appreciate the beauty in everything. I say “trying” because it doesn't always come easy. This week in particular I've had a few nights of bad sleep, which makes everything else in my life feel like a challenge. In these moments where I find myself struggling with lack of focus, a myriad of distractions, and general grumpiness, I remember what I have in my own toolkit. This week, my answer has been
walks. And you know what? They really work. Each time after a walk, even the short ones, I come back to my desk feeling invigorated and refreshed. I share this with you now because perhaps it's something to consider the next time you're in a slump. I hope it helps.
