National Book Month is coming to a close, but there’s still time to celebrate the literary crème de la crème. You could support an indie bookstore, fight back against book banning (1,586 books have been banned this year already), or just curl up and read the novel that’s been collecting dust on your shelf. Need to upgrade your Zoom background, like Adele? Have no shame, Rizzoli bookstore will create a custom library just for you. |

Halloween costumes can be so embarrassing. Take it from me, and enjoy this throwback video, where I share the story of a hilarious outfit mishap. Alas, candy redeems the holiday (shocker, I know). My current obsession is these Earth & Star chocolates, with functional mushroom extracts. Wonders never cease! |

Ever heard of a sniglet? It’s a silly word used to describe something for which no actual definition exists. My favorite is “hozone,” which is the place where single socks go when they disappear from a load of laundry. All this is to say, I’m constantly losing socks and have finally found the perfect pair for the gym, thanks to Bombas. Good luck to all of the NYC marathoners — I think you are going to like these. Ps. buy a pair and they donate a pair. |

I have never met a moisturizer I haven’t tried. Friends used to tease me in high school for constantly applying eye cream. (But who’s laughing now?) Fast-forward, and, yes, I religiously apply this miracle tonic from The Ordinary every morning. Bonus pro tip: One thing that I have used my entire life to heal cuts and nicks is the gel inside a vitamin E tablet. Scars, be gone. |

Fifteen years ago this week, My Last Supper was published (and I threw the book party “to (literally) end all parties,” according to New York Magazine at least. Four years later, My Last Supper: The Next Course followed, along with a video series, podcast, and radio show. I have spent this week celebrating both books on my Instagram and the 100 chefs who sat for portraits and joined me for the ride. |

+ On my mind lately are the refugees who are landing on doorsteps all across America. I really loved these ideas on how to help. |
