A note from Emily & David
We thought this was going to be a short one, but we ended up loving so many parts about Hosea and Joel.  We can’t wait to find out what stands out to you as favorite lessons from these two prophets. If you want to understand more about covenant relationship over routine, if you want to hear a beautiful story of redemption, if you wonder what it looks like to give your whole heart, then these two books will be some of your best. This week in Come, Follow Me we will be studying Hosea and Joel.

Teaching tips for kids
Read Joel 2:21.
What are some great things you have see the Lord do this week in your life?

Teaching tips for teens
Read Joel 2
When has God poured out His Spirit in your life?

Read “A Framework for Personal Revelation” by Elder Renlund.
What is something you learn from that talk?

Read Hosea
Write down characteristics that describe Gomer, then write down characteristics that describe Hosea. What do you learn about the character of God as you look at Hosea’s list?  What do you learn about his patience and forgiveness?

Study Russell M Nelson’s most recent Conference talk “Overcome the World and Find Rest” with this Hosea and look for common themes.

Don't Miss This in the New Testament
Preorders for 2023 Come Follow Me
Maybe you know this about us by now, but we are both visual, hands on learners.  Because of that, we are always trying to discover study tools that will help bring the scriptures to life in your home.  We will be using several different study tools this year, here is what we love most about each of them:

Videos:
For the New Testament we will be recording all new hour long vides, but this year they will be broken into ten minute segments in case you want to watch them for ten minutes every weekday, or you can watch them all at once.  These videos are totally free and can be found on YouTube or on our APP.

Journal:
The journals for the next four years have been totally redesigned with a theme in mind.  You will find questions to ponder daily that can be used for teaching or family discussions.  There are workbook pages based off of our most favorite part of each lesson that week.  You can also use these workbook pages for lessons or discussion.  There will also be a space for recording one name of Jesus Christ each week.

Devotional Book:
Perfect for a 5-10 minute lesson, these books can be used as a devotional every day.  This book is designed for personal study or family study.  We love to use ours around the dinner or breakfast table.

Word a Week Posters:
Perfect for a three minute study, these posters include one word and one verse a week for pondering.  Hang them somewhere in your home where they will be a daily reminder of Come, Follow Me.  This year we will be studying one name of Jesus Christ found in that week’s lesson.  By the end of the year we will have come up with 52 names.

Tip Ins:
These are small papers that can be glued right in your scriptures with tips and truths that will help to improve your study.

Stickers:
Use these colorful stickers in the margins of your Scriptures or in your Don’t Miss This Daily study journal.

Hopefully these tools will make your scripture study something you look forward to!
