November 16
On November 16th, the #MiamiTech community will come together with The Miami Foundation for a special partnership - Give Miami Day, presented by Amazon!

For those who are new to South Florida, a little bit of context...Give Miami Day is a unifying force - the biggest day of generosity in Miami where everyone in our community gives back. Over 1000 nonprofits stand together and fundraise…addressing every issue area from education to the arts, to make Miami stronger for everyone who calls this place home. It truly has become a movement. Over the past decade, Give Miami Day has raised more than $100 million for local causes, and just last year:
  • Over $32 million were raised in a single day!
  • 976 nonprofits participated across every topic affecting our city
  • 44,000 individual donated, with 62,000 donations recorded in a single day
For long-time Miami residents and recent transplant alike, Give Miami Day has paved the way for all of us to get involved - it is the most approachable way to understand the themes most impacting Miami and get a lay of the land of the fantastic organizations and initiatives working to make an impact. Whether you care about the arts, education, equality, the environment, or any other topic, we hope you join us in giving back.
On November 16th, come on down to the #MiamiTech community for complimentary drinks and pizza, great networking, and a powerful discussion around impact in Miami with local nonprofit leaders:
  • Jean Souffrant, Pierre Toussaint Leadership and Learning Center at Notre Dame d'Haiti Catholic Church
  • Carlos Vazquez, Miami EdTech
  • Mileyka Burgos-Flores, Allapattah Collaborative CDC
  • Trina Harris, Touching Miami with Love
