kitchen IQ

Below is one kitchen staple that I incorporate regularly a) because I enjoy it and b) because I know how it supports my body, mind, emotions and overall quality of health.

If this one sounds interesting to you, try it out and let me know what you think. As with everything I share, please don't just take my word for it. Every body is unique. If this one works for you and you love it, great. If not, you never have to have it again. As with any new health experiment, what's most important is taking inventory of your current state, health, habit etc. and thoughtfully trying something new
If you stay curious and keep checking in with yourself, the good shit will stick; trust me.

Bone Broth

Whether you feel great or a little less so, bone broth is a regular winter must drink. It's low in calories and high in vitamins, minerals, amino acids and protein.

Add extra flavor and nutrition to pasta, grains, soups and curries or enjoy alone as a warm and grounding low-calorie snack. I recommend having 1 cup / day for 2 weeks and seeing how you feel. Recently I've been enjoying a mug around 3pm each day instead of a second coffee or matcha. So far, it's been a really enjoyable new habit.

Bone broth benefits:
  • Supports anti-aging
  • Improves skin health and appearance
  • Anti-inflammatory and reduces joint pain
  • Aids in digestion and supports a healthy gut
  • Detoxifies and helps with immune function
