“From the first time I visited Winnsboro in 2017 and laid my eyes upon the building located at 220 Market Street, I knew that it would be the location of my second boutique. I fell in love with the building, but I was a long way from making it become a reality. 
 
In 2016, I purchased my first boutique in Atlanta, Texas. It was an established boutique and designed to a certain clientele. I knew I wanted more, I wanted a boutique that I dreamed of, one designed and curated by my dreams, my goals, and my desires and I knew that the building at 220 Market Street would be the location where I would begin making “The Bowery Boutique” become a reality. 
 
In 2020, “THE BUILDING” became available and I was fortunate to become its next tenant. With both excitement, and trepidation, I began designing my dream with the help of local painters, electricians, and friends. We opened The Bowery Boutique’s doors two years ago in October 2020 and it has been a blessing ever since.”    -Owner Becky Wilbanks

Lets Take A Look 
As stated above if your final day for delivery of earnest and option money falls on a weekend or legal holiday then the deadline to delivery those funds is moved to the next day that is not a weekend or legal holiday. Although the rest of the contract deadlines remain the same and do not change. Meaning they will continue to follow the traditional calendar days. So what does that mean?
EXAMPLE: THE OPTION PERIOD 
If you are buying a home in Dallas Texas and you have a 10 day option period and the contract execution date is December 22nd then the option period ends at 5 pm (local time) on New Years Day January 1st. All days in the contract are calendar days. Holiday or non-holiday days it doesn't matter.
 
But lets look at when your earnest and option money would be due……..
 
In this case your earnest and option money is to be delivered to the title company within 3 days after the effective date of the contract. Meaning it is due ON Christmas Day the 25th and on a Sunday (Day of Execution counts as day 0). Therefore your due date would be pushed to Monday December 26th since it falls on a legal holiday. Your Option Period would still end on January 1st though according to the calendar days.
