Happy November, friends. There's much to look forward to as daylight dwindles. We are entering the season of all things cozy - sweaters, soup, boots, candles, blankets and hot drinks by the fire. As the hours of darkness increase, it means more time spent inside. The lengthening evening hours offer more time to read, cook, craft, and just be still. The shortening of days also signifies the coming of the holiday season. It's my favorite season at the shoppe - decking the halls of this old church for Christmas is an almost magical transformation. Come see for yourself! This Thursday, 11/10, is our Ladies' Night Out, which kicks off our Christmas Open House weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). There is still room in our wreath-making workshops later in the month, and we'll be adding another class or two, so stay tuned to our posts on Facebook and Instagram. The last of the leaves cling to the trees. The great horned owl coos from the woods nearby, and I hear the train's horn in the distance. The sun rises and fills the sky with lovely colors. I want to capture all these moments along with all the other memories from this special place that I've called home for so long, pack them up, and take them with me. The next few weeks will be the final ones in this house on the hill, and time seems to be flying by way too quickly. To slow it down, I want to savor each moment, and fill the hours more meaningfully. . . |
