You read that right… “Are you ”shoulding" yourself?"
[You know, "I should exercise." "I should eat better." "I should meditate." Whatever you are shoulding on yourself! :-)]
Judgment just gets us stuck and feels awful! - it’s not even a way to learn about yourself.
(Oh, and, yes, if you “should” on yourself - you are judging yourself!)
We here at SIMPLY :: the wellness place, are a judge-free zone. We have done the self-deprivation, the hard discipline, and it can suck the fun out of life.
We want life to be fun, vibrant AND healthy while still enjoying #allthethings. We can do that!
Sooo…. Welcome to the "SHOULD-FREE" zone!
So…how do you stop shoulding yourself?
Change the word should to want. Instead of “I should exercise” say “I want to exercise” OR “I should eat better” say “I want to eat better”.
Does it fit for you?
If yes, awesome, simply moving from a place of “shoulding” to “wanting” makes all the difference. Can you feel it?
If it doesn’t feel right, you don’t want to do it, rethink whether you need to do it. Is it time to let it go?
