45 days left in 2022. I know we all say this, but… where did time go? 

 

This is email #1 of a 3-part email series reminiscing about 2022. A bit personal, but mostly business.

WHAT WENT WELL IN 2022?

✅ I did things for myself: 

 

It might sound silly, but this brand shoot (and an upcoming one later this month) was a big deal for me. I dressed up and showed up as myself. Sometimes I don't want to show my face because my hair “doesn't look right” or I'm feeling “too fat” that day.  

 

Thanks to my amazing photographer, I have a set of photos that my son can look back to when he is old. He can see that his mom showed up for her people. 

 

If you've been putting off a brand shoot: do it! It feels amazing. Do it for yourself. 

✅ Connections:

 

I met some amazing friends! Worked with truly brilliant people who really know their stuff. And created a top-notch course as a result. Partnered with Holli and Michelle to promote offers that I truly love.

 

Relationships are hard for me. I'm an Enneagram 3, a Generator (Human Design) and Taurus (sun sign). If you know what any of that means, you understand the type of person I am. I'm strong and determined, but I also worry about how people perceive me. 

 

I'm sometimes surprised that brilliant people still want to work with me. I feel blessed.  

 

 

✅ Visibility:

 

Summits, summits everywhere! LOL 🤪 In today's podcast episode I talk about it in more detail. 

Soooo many summits this year (6 or 8?) And it was fun! I stretched myself in ways I didn't know I could (talk about showing up!). 

 

But it also backfired. I said yes to a summit that wasn't niche enough, and I didn't realize it until I saw the unsubs come in. By the hundreds…

 

 

✅ New Projects: 

 

Finally launched a podcast! That has been fun and I have huge plans for it in 2023. I have a looooong list of people I want to invite. 

 

Someone asked me in the Facebook group how to monetize a podcast. Honestly, I don't know. I just want to have fun conversations with other business owners in our space and bring them to you. I'm nosy and I have a lot of questions. 

 

 

✅ The #1 thing:

 

One-on-one calls. That was the best thing I did in 2022. But I'm retiring it for 2023 to make space for bigger ways to work WITH me. The last available spots are in the calendar. 

 

Almost 30 amazing souls signed up. It was mentally exhausting. But I enjoyed every second of it. There is nothing like strategizing with another human and seeing the results flow. 

 

 

I could go on about so many good things that happened, but… having said that… 

 

2022 wasn't the greatest 🫣

I'm glad it's almost over!

 

I'll tell you why in the next email.
