New study shows that people who take psychedelics better understand the climate crisis than those who abstain. In related news, rainbows will increase by five percent in the next seven decades because of climate change, giving a whole new meaning to the idea of silver linings.

Thinking about holiday travel? CNN just released a helpful comparison of flight carbon calculators. And if you're in (or traveling to) France, you should know that there is now a ban on short flights where train or bus alternatives exist, which just makes so much sense.

In Switzerland, you can commute by floating down a river  â€“ destinations could be some of 700,000 jobs that the EU anticipates will be created by its circular economy transition over the next eight years. There, solar will soon be ten times cheaper than gas.

Democrats are celebrating recent wins that bode well for climate and I can't wait to see what 25-year-old Maxwell Frost will do in Congress.
super important.
I have been a big fan of water-saving, plastic-container reducing laundry sheets and dishwasher pods, but new information about PVA — the plastic film they’re made from — has me worried. Refillable pioneer Blueland commissioned a study that found 75% of plastic particles from laundry and dishwasher pods persist in the environment and do not break down in wastewater treatment facilities. The company recently launched a formal petition to the EPA to prohibit manufacturing with PVA, which I reported on in this Mommy Greenest post on Earth Breeze laundry sheets. These are made with PVA that is composed differently than a pod; however, I will no longer use them until more information is available, and will report back on the post.
watch this!
This student created a 3D built infrastructure for coral reefs that reduces sedimentation and mimics the chemical makeup of reefs. Why is this so important? Coral reefs cover less than one percent of the ocean floor but are home to more than 25% of marine life — and 90% are projected to disappear over the next three decades.

have you tried?*
