Hi First name / friends,
Do you keep a diary?
It's something I've been thinking about because I recently joined a journaling club.
Every Monday, I log into a private Slack group and receive prompts with questions like:
What’s one talent or skill you are proud of that you’d like to share more of professionally? Describe a time you DID get to share or were recognized for that talent/skill and how it felt.
Or another recent one:
When was the last time you felt unstoppable, whether for a moment or for a period of time. Embody that feeling: what were you thinking, experiencing, what flowed, etc? Then, consider what it would take right now in your life to be back in that place.
Personally, I've been journaling since elementary school. In fact, I still have several dusty composition notebooks in my closet right now, filled with my big scrawly childish handwriting. Some of my old entries are sweet and tender, like where I describe my excitement about my grandmother coming over for Friday night dinner. But as the years progress, my writing gets more angsty and emo. Reading my high school journals is full on cringe. Yet despite the feelings it brings up, I also cherish these records. They're a window into who I was and it's been insightful for me to go back to read about the things I cared about at such a formative age.
Now that I've joined this journaling club though, I am writing with a different focus. I feel like I am being propelled in a positive direction and getting clearer on my vision and goals. This is the beauty of working with a coach because a good coach can help you gain clarity and focus, while also helping you make a plan to actualize your goals.
If you're not already journaling, with or without prompts, I encourage you to try it out. Creating a regular practice around it is a way to process your emotions and deepen your self discovery. Not to mention, it also helps with mental health, stress, and anxiety.
If you're curious or want a bit more support, it's not too late to join this journaling club! It's hosted by Amanda Baudier and Rebecca Stump, founders of a coaching practice called
Full Plate Full Cup. Check out their

Wishing you a happy and healthy weekend!
