Dear First name / friend

The Holidays are here. I anticipate ours being quiet this year, but not everyone will have a stress-free time of it. Getting swept up in what to buy and how much to spend, who to gift, what party to attend, etc., etc. Then there are the events themselves -  Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, New Years (Forgive me if I missed something).

Followed, for some, by a bit of the blues – it's over, time to put everything away.

What a perfect time for some self-care !  Everyone could benefit from it, but not everyone will gift it to themselves.

A yoga class during the holidays can offer relaxation, burn off some of the stress, connect you with community.  Just a thought.

And, if you want to learn more about hips, back & shoulders, enroll in my workshop, November 26, from 1-4pm. Again, more information is available on the Sage Website. This is a great opportunity to explore, to learn what moves us and what stabilizes us, whether you have pain in one of these areas or not.

My schedule through the Holidays remains the same; with the addition of the workshop in November.  Here it is:

NOVEMBER* and DECEMBER
Each Monday/Thursday                  10:30am Fallbrook Sage
                                                         Aligned Yoga
Each Tuesday                                  9:00am Bonsall Sage
                                                         Therapeutic Yoga
Each Friday                                      9:00am Bonsall Sage
                                                         Yoga Basics

*The one Thursday exception is Thanksgiving. I will teach that morning, from 9-10am at Sage in Fallbrook. Note that class, plus a 9am class in Bonsall, are the only classes that day at Sage. Be sure to check the Sage website for info.

And, don't forget – I am available for individual work in my office, North County Yoga Therapy. My website will offer contact information.

on my end table:
Pathways to a Centered Body by Donna Farhi and Leila Stuart. A deep dive into our core – what it is; how to move from it; how to strengthen, lengthen and nourish it. Have had some real ‘Ah-Ha’ moments while reading this book. A great teacher's guide, as well as appropriate for students

Distant Shores by Kristin Hannah. A departure from all the WWII books I've read; more of a modern times book. She speaks to the woman who dedicates her life to family & home, then realizes her forgotten ‘power’ - her ability to make it on her own. Good read.

for more light reading:
  1. Do you have a headache?  Read this.
  2. Cup of Jo newsletter — lots of interesting and fun articles and links.
  3. And, my recent blog post is available for reading.

Until next time,
Leslie
