What we did last month
Rant: The worst and the best Christmas presents that we've ever gotten
/ 1. We had a bit of a nightmare with Ziggy, who has been in a bad routine the last month. At this point of the night he was meant to be already asleep but he just wouldn't go down and we started to worry that he might be hungry…and that's how I ended up sharing some pom bears with him, on the sofa, while watching telly even though we are usually pretty strict with it! / 2. We went to get coffee at this adorable little country farm shop. There was a Christmas tree market, it smelled like pine and Christmas began that day for me. / 3. Celebrating Rose's dad's birthday. I bought him Westworld and Tin Star, both great series that I love. We went for a meal with Rose's sister and the rest of the family. it was a really fun day out! / 4. Woodie and Wilma. They are not actually suppose to sit on there, Rose doesn't like it when they do because they press their noses against the window and get it really dirty 😂 but I thought they looked sweet snuggling in the sun. / 5. Rose went to get Ziggy out of bed when he woke up but he kept cuddling her so she kept rocking him and he went back to sleep. / 6. I took Ziggy to a new children's play group and he absolutely loved the fire engine. It was a big hit!
What we did last month…
Wow, November.. I scrolled back through my photos to remind myself what we'd been up to, and on the 1st Nov I was up at 5:30am with Ziggy because he was feeling under the weather... And this was pretty much the theme for the entire month! Honestly it was a month of disaster! We were all poorly the entire time, with me ending the month with Hand, foot and mouth. Ziggy decided to stop sleeping and we have been sooo sleep deprived. And on top of all this we've had builders in our house trashing the place! The shower was too short, and then there was the toilet flushing disaster... It's actually been a nightmare. 😂
(If you want to hear more about it, watch our latest video here.)
Despite all this we did have some really good times too. I started my horse riding lessons which I LOVE and Rose had her first flying lesson! My brother bought me a home massage for my birthday and I finally cashed it in, and it turns out my masseuse was a lovely local mum and our babies are the same age - so I made a new friend! I decluttered about 12 bags of clothes that all went to charity which made me feel good because I hate waste! It made it so much easier to get rid of them knowing they may go to a good home. I went on a playdate with a mum friend and started a new term of swimming for Ziggy - who is top of his class and can go underwater!
Rose and I took Ziggy to softplay a few times and after I'd finally recovered from my illness we took Ziggy to meet Father Christmas himself! We got Ziggy into a new routine where he goes to bed earlier giving Rose and I more time to ourselves and I've moved onto season 4 of Grey's Anatomy!
☝️ We did something exciting. We cannot wait to show you! 👀
The worst and best presents that each of us have ever gotten for Christmas…
Rose: My worst present was a pogo stick. After two seconds of bouncing what more can you do? They are too one dimensional with no mystery or surprise!
My best present was Puppy in My Pocket Hotel - a hotel full of puppy in my pockets - absolutely amazing! I would want one as an adult and I'm thinking of getting Ziggy one!
Rosie: My worst present was when my mum got me a dictionary and a maths and science textbook... I opened them and thought they were meant for my older brothers. When my mum said no they're for you I was like "oh, gee... Thanks."
My best present was the SAME YEAR that same Christmas. I got a "princess net" which is like a net canopy that hangs over your bed. I just absolutely loved it! But more recently, when I was really into Fortnite, on Xmas morning I woke up and my sister had sent me the new Xmas skin which was a Xmas princess, that came with a wand and a carriage. I used to never buy skins but Rose told me to buy it all for Xmas! So I did and I played Fortnite all morning, which I loved!! I told Rose I want to make sure I play Fortnite this year!

Rosie goes horse riding
I was so proud of myself for going horse riding and afterwards I ached in places I didn't know could ache 😂 I showed Rose a picture of my horse (he is called Buddy) and Rose thinks it's so funny because he is SO SHORT! He's actually a pony but Rose thinks he looks like a large dog! He's very lazy and will randomly decide to stop, even if we are mid trot 😂 I know how to stop, go, turn right or left, go faster and I'm working on my rising trot (in America, I think they call this posting). I really enjoy it and despite it being FREEZING I find I forget everything and just have fun focussing on my lesson. I think it's really important for good mental health for everyone to have a hobby that they can lose themselves in.
I love taking a break from all the stresses and having fun with lazy Buddy!
Rose's flying lesson
Is that Rose
or
Amelia Earhart?
Well frogs, I did it! This was the biggest test I'd ever given myself! Since Covid (and even slightly before!) my anxiety peaked in terms of pushing myself even when doings the smallest things. I found since lockdown, my world was getting even smaller. Leaving the house became strangely uncomfortable, simply because I was so used to not doing it!
I knew I had to get on top of things in my mind before it got ontop of me! Flying has always been such a struggle for me to get through. Relinquishing all control was my WORST nightmare! But let me tell you something... if I can overcome my fears, YOU definitely can!
So start small but start today!
Monthly positive LGBTQIA+ news 🏳️🌈
1. As you probably know, The World Cup was held in Qatar, a country that does not recognize same-sex marriage or civil partnerships, nor does it allow people in Qatar to campaign for LGBTQIA+ rights. We want to aplaud the BBC reporter Alex Scott, who recently publicly came out, for wearing a LGBTQIA+ armband while reporting. Another person worth celebrating is this fan who ran on to the pitch waving a rainbow flag. There have been countless fans who have shown their support for the community. 🙌
2. Luke Pollar, a Labour MP stood up and announced himself as ‘a massive gay’ in the parliament beforedelivering a short speech about Qatar asking the prime minister whether he will back the England's captains in wearing a rainbow armband.
3. The senate in the U.S. voted to protect gay marriage.
4. Healey Driscoll has been elected as the first lesbian governer in the U.S.
5. Beauty queens Miss Puerto Rico and Miss Argentina got married.
We've been so into the Calm app sleep stories. (No spon!) The one that sends us off to sleep is the Harry Styles sleep story! Because I always fall asleep I never hear it properly so I don't actually know what he's saying. I just tune in and out to him saying random stuff like ‘the glistening strawberries drifted past fluffy clouds of sunbeams’.
02 / BOOK
We were recommended a book to explain to Ziggy that he has two mums and we used a sperm donor. It's called 'The pea that was me' and we think the mums look like us!!
03 / DRINKS
Baileys in hot chocolate and mulled wine has literally got us through this month!!
04 / SHOWS
Y: The Last Man! It's on Disney+ and it's FANTASTIC! We're almost at the end of the series!
The L Word: Generation Q! We are loving it so far and I've already cried at Episode 2!
Grey's Anatomy! We've moved onto season 4... Apparently only one more season left until we see the lesbian storyline kick in!
We've been recommended to watch Warrior Nun and Station 19 so they are now on our 'to watch' list!
Our ‘Frog of the month’ is Rose. She is the first ever frog that successfully flew a plane all by herself.
I am so proud of you, Rose!

Results of our Lily Pad survey 🤩
Whether you are a part of the most exclusive Frog Royale community, The Frog Club, or even Baby Frogs, you've been recently asked to fill out our Lily Pad survey where we asked you to share your opinions on pineapple pizza, we demanded you tell us what content you enjoy, and we begged you to tell us your favourite show right now.
🥁 Well, the results are in! 🥁
Does pineapple belong on pizza? 🍕 🍍
According to 57.4% of you it certainly does!
Rose loves pineapple on pizza and while I don't have a strong opinion on it I would definitely eat pizza with it on!
Now that we have settled this, let's move onto the other topics. 👇
Have you ever wondered what your fellow frogs are like?
Unsuprisingly, 82.5% of you are part of the LGBTQIA+ community. 😁 Most of you indentify as lesbians and bisexuals but we also have pansexuals, asexuals, demisexuals and other identities among us. Several of you are also trans and non-binary.
What a beautiful group we are. ❤️
When it comes to star signs, most of you frogs are Cancers which is a bit awkward considering we madethis video…😳 However, our opinions on Cancers have changed since because Ziggy is a Cancer! 😂 The second most common star sign is a Virgo, Aries and Gemini. We are both Gemini! ♊
We are also a big gaming community with 69.8% of you playing games! By the way, yes, Animal Crossing, Pokemon and The Sims definitely count. Is there the potential of making gaming friends? 🤔 Some of you mentioned that you have nobody to play with. That's not cool, we must fix that!
Speaking of making new friends, keep an eye on our YouTube membership space, we want to start connecting people that have similar hobbies starting from January. You would be surprised how many of you enjoy playing guitar, hiking, or crocheting. There are also plenty of readers, gardeners, and painters!
According to our results, 64% of you believe in aliens! 👽
Do we need to organise a group trip to Area 51?! 😂🚌
Here's what we know about your love languages.
You all looove some quality time and physical touch. Same!
It turns out that most of you have been binge-watching Wednesday, The L Word: Generation Q (just like us),and Dead to Me.
We also found out that most of you have pets! We love that and we will definitely need to see pictures.
Another thing we asked you about was how long have you been following us and some of you have been with us for over 10 years! Some of you have met us in person, some of you watched us when you were figuring out your sexuality and some of you have been following us since you were teenagers! ❤️ Whether you have followed us for years or months, thank you so much for supporting us. It means everything!
Have you ever wondered how old everyone is? It turns out that 43.2% of you are Millenials, 33.3% are Gen Z, 17.7% are Gen X and 5.8% are Baby Boomers. We think that's pretty cool.
When we were little, Rose wanted to be a vet or a park ranger while I wanted to be a famous actress! Most of you wanted to be a vet, teacher or a doctor. However, some of you had different ideas. There was an underwater photographer (pretty specific), an heirsess (makes sense), trophy wife (fair enough), and even Mary Poppins. One of you said you wanted to be a YouTube star because of us! 🥺😂
What's everyone's favourite book? The overwhelming majority of you put down Harry Potter but there were hundreds of other books that you recommended. We are keeping a list of all of them and we will think of a way of how we can share the recommendations with you. 🤔
When asked whether you would you rather wear the same socks for a month or the same underwear for a week most of you said you would prefer to have smelly feet.
Pasta and pizza are the foods that most of you would choose to eat if you could only eat one thing until the end of your life. Tacos, fries, and sandwiches also had plenty of mentions. Fantastic choices!
(Did you miss out on the survey? Don't worry, you can still fill it out
for fun, find the link on our YouTube community notice board.)
We hope you enjoyed reading our first newsletter. This is just the beginning!
From next month, we would like to introduce a noticeboard with shoutouts and announcements. Did you get married? Did you just move to London and looking for new friends? Are you looking for a gaming buddy?
As mentioned, we also want to connect those of you that share a passion for the same hobby. Stay tuned for more details! 👀
