Hello, friends!

Thanks for all of the love you sent me in response to the Citrine Preview in my last newsletter! It means so much to me that you're excited about the new design.

Over the past few months I've been sewing a lot of Citrine samples, which has really solidified my love for sewing with knits. And – as I mentioned last week – this year I'm not holding a site-wide sale, but rather a few special sales on some of my pattern favorites, and this week I'm focusing on my knit patterns.

This week I'm having a quick sale on all of my knit sewing patterns, including Jade, one of my personal pattern MVPs. In this newsletter, you can find the sale details, plus some ideas for sewing Jade to get you inspired to sew a warm and cozy Jade of your own!

sale details

From now until this Friday night, use code KNITSALE in my shop to take 25% off any of my knit sewing patterns -- Jade Tee, Isla Dress & Top, Flashback Tee for kids, and the already-discounted Flashback tee and Jade+Isla bundles (find all of these in my shop in the KNITS collection).

Hurry! The KNITSALE code will expire in just a few days - sale ends this Friday night at midnight (12/2/2022 at 11:59 PM Eastern)

Click this button to automatically apply the discount code at checkout:
(Note: You'll see the code applied after you click “CHECKOUT” if you have any of the Isla, Jade or Flashback tee patterns or bundles in your cart!)

jade inspiration

Here are five ideas to inspire your Jade tee sewing….

NEW! Last week on my blog I posted a tutorial for how to sew Jade with a puff sleeve. It's an easy way to add some fun drama to this tee. Get the discounted pattern (use code KNITSALE at checkout) and then try out the tutorial!

Did you know that I originally designed Jade to be an complementary pattern for Isla? You can add the sleeves of Jade to the Isla Dress, or add the Isla skirt to the Jade tee like I did with this Rose Jade+Isla dress (I also extended the skirt to make it a maxi dress).

Buy the Jade + Isla bundle (get an additional 25% off when you use code KNITSALE at checkout) and then check out the tutorial on my blog to make one of your own!

This is one of my most-worn, favorite tees! Sweater knit makes this pattern into something really cozy and warm for layering in the cooler months. See more photos and details of this version on my blog!

Another knit fabric that can really take up the cozy factor is merino. Last year I made three merino knit Jade tees (also shown at the top of this email) for layering under sweaters. Check out the post for pics and notes on my merino Jade, including notes on how to turn Jade into a turtleneck, which is my last idea for you today:

Fun fact: this is the same method I use to make turtlenecks for my kids with the Flashback Tee pattern (also on sale this week with code KNITSALE!) - so it's a super easy mod for just about any tee pattern!

shop the patterns

You can find all of the patterns that are part of this special knit pattern sale in the knits collection in my shop. Click the button below to apply the KNITSALE discount automatically to your cart:

Reminder: the sale ends Friday night at 11:59 PM Eastern time, so if you want to snap any or all of these patterns, don't wait!

I hope you've enjoyed this Jade idea roundup and that it's gotten you inspired to sew with knits!

As always, if you make something with one of my patterns, I'd love to see what you've made! Use the hashtag #raemademedoit or tag @madebyrae when you share your projects.

Happy sewing,
- Rae
