The flagship WiST Fellowship Program delivers summer internship experiences for women and nonbinary undergraduate and graduate students eager to begin their careers in the sports tech industry. This program is an integral part of how we propel women into important roles and leadership positions in sports tech. Click to hear recent fellowship recipients talk about the impact of their WiST Fellowship experience.
WiST Fellows complete a  6-8 week internship during the summer months with a sports tech industry-leading enterprise or innovative startup. We define the sports tech industry broadly and encourage experiences that combine the themes of sports and technology innovation in creative ways. To increase the accessibility of these opportunities, WiST Fellows receive a grant of $5,000 and reimbursement of up to $2,500 for travel expenses directly related to the work experience.
While the benefits created by these resume-building experiences are significant, the relationships developed among the Fellows cohort, Fellow alumni, and the WiST community at large provide an unmatched network for future growth.
