Hi First name / friend—
I want to thank you for being a part of the Family Time Kit family. I’ve poured my heart and soul into every aspect of this ministry over the last year and a half, and it means a lot to have your support.
Big Changes
About two days after launching the FTK Kickstarter campaign, I was invited to have a conversation with
GenOn Ministries about a role that had just been funded by a new Lilly Foundation initiative for ministries with Christian parents and caregivers. They were looking for a Project Director to work with GenOn and its partner churches to create new resources that seek to support faith formation that is centered in the family and supported and encouraged by the local church community—through intergenerational relationships, ministry, and faith formation programming. I was so curious about the project I had to say yes to the invitation. That conversation led to a job offer that I accepted. I will begin this work in January. I have a joy about this that I haven't felt in quite a while. It's something I want to do, and it feels very much like it's the next step in my continued call into ministry with children and families.
What this means for Family Time Kit
After A LOT of conversations with people I trust, I am going to close Family Time Kit. All of the things I have learned through the process of creating the kits, running a small business, and talking with ministry leaders and caregivers will go with me into this next season of my vocational journey.
The last kit will be the December one, and the remaining Kickstarter rewards will be mailed by this Friday.**
First name / Friend, I wouldn't have had to courage to lean into this next iteration of my call without your resounding “yes!” to this one. It has inspired me to be brave, follow God's nudges, and believe I could be the person who directs a Lilly Foundation project!
A Million Times, Thank You
Thank you for supporting Family Time Kit. Thank you for supporting ME. I am so very thankful.
With so much love,
Brittany
