I started writing this newsletter last Sunday when the whole house was still asleep, but me. The overcast sky and gentle patter of rain lulled anyone else, human, cat or dog, that might stir back to sleep and so it was quiet in the house, but for the tap tap tap of the keyboard and the occasional grumble from the heater. It's the kind of peace that makes the perfect day to curl up on the sofa and knit and I hope you all had that kind of day. This week, it's a different vibe, the combination of the approaching holidays and finals makes home a hub of anxious excitement and I'm looking for moments of peace to retreat to, I'm using the ‘I have to get this finished to send’ excuse to carve out quiet time.
How December crept up on us I have no idea. It seems like it was just turning November, but isn't that always the way. We're in the last few weeks of gift knitting and some of us are barely starting now in earnest. We've put together a list of quick knits and crochet options below for those of you itching to create gifts. You'll notice that the majority of the options are using chunky/bulky or super bulky yarn weights so that you can get that instant gratification fix of a quick project. We've got several new bulky/chunky yarns and expanded Be Wool colorways that offer multiple price points. Make time for yourself this season.
