1. What is your favorite part of taking music lessons at Music Makers?

I’ve wanted for many years to learn to play the piano and started last January at Music Makers and have learned so much from Dr. Kuo. She is very inspiring!

2. What is your favorite song to play and why?

Not a song but the Blues style has been my favorite so far.

3. What inspired you to take music lessons?

I think it’s something I’ve always wanted to do….since I was little.

4. What is a favorite musical memory you have?        

I’ve been to many, many concerts. We love live music and musicals. Seeing Hamilton on Broadway was  amazing! 

                                                                                                                    

5. If you could play another instrument what would it be?  Guitar 

 

6. Which famous musician would you pick to meet?                          

That’s so hard to pick just one! I love the Lumineers, Head and The Heart, Brandi Carlile. Would love to meet any of them!

1. Having an opportunity to improve my playing so I can excel in my school band.

 

2.Jupiter of the Planets. Songs that are coralls require good tone and musicality.

 

3. I was inspired by my friend who improved after taking lessons. I also wanted to learn better practice habits.

4. My favorite musical memory was playing the concert with Ahwatukee Youth Band. I enjoyed playing with lots of different people at difficult skill levels. With the wide variety of instruments all the parts blended together and made beautiful music.

 

5. If I could play another instrument I would play the piccolo trumpet.

1.  My favorite part of taking music lessons at MM is having Ms. Cindy as a teacher and learning to play the guitar.

 

2.  My favorite song to play is, "You Belong With Me," by Taylor Swift because I like the chord progression...D, A, E minor, G.

 

3.  I started taking music lessons because I wanted to try something new and I love music!

 

4.  My favorite music memory is when I learned to play my first song on the uke, "Eight Days a Week."

5.  I would learn to play the drums because I want to take after my dad.

 

6.  I would love to meet Dave Grohl because he played in two bands that I love..."Foo Fighters," as lead singer and "Nirvana," as drummer.

 

1.     What is your favorite part of taking music lessons at Music Makers?

Learning new songs from both Drums and Piano teachers. I like my teachers. Mr. Devin and Dr. Kuo help me learn more and challenge me every time.

 

2. What is your favorite song to play and why?

Drums - Come together by the Beatles

Piano - We wish you a merry Christmas

These are the songs I performed at the winter recital.

 

3. What inspired you to take music lessons?

My parents signed me up for summer music camp at MMW, and I got to try different instruments. I liked drums and piano the best among others and wanted to learn more.

 

4. What is a favorite musical memory you have?         

I won third place in the 2022 drum competition in Division 1 and received bronze drum sticks!                                                                                                                                   

5. If you could play another instrument what would it be?
Bass guitar

The Beatles (especially Ringo Starr)
