As I write this message, my baby son Kavi is pulling down the Christmas ornaments from the tree and his ayya, Leo, is busy putting them back up, over and over again. It makes me laugh, and I remember that they bring me all the joy I need to keep going.
Year upon year, all of us have been asked—required—to be resilient, to put on a brave face. As leaders of organizations, big or small, we need to manage our own emotions, find inspiration and guide our teams with confidence. The mass exodus proves that this is no easy task.
This Christmas I want to thank each of you for supporting us. You have not only helped us to stay afloat financially, but your love for the brand has also inspired us to innovate and keep creating with gusto.
Like I feel when watching Kavi and Leo play, my wish is that you find your own sources of joy and inspiration to fill your reservoirs of resilience—to stay strong for the coming new year.
How can we double down and build a Sri Lanka we all deserve? I would love to hear your ideas.
Until then, Merry Christmas!
