BEAVER BITES

  • Feeling hungry? OpenTable has revealed its 100 most beloved restaurants in Canada for 2022.

  • For those who love skiing as much as we do, it looks like it's going to be a busy season. The Canadian Ski Council claims sales of early season ski passes are up 20% on the year so far, which could lead to a record number of visitors.

  • Why is there always an uptick with colds and flus during the winter months? It looks like science knows why.

  • Despite the losses, Canada entering the world cup was a big deal for soccer fans. Now, soccer fans are getting something else to celebrate. Canada’s first-ever pro women’s soccer league is set to kick off in 2025 with the backing of Project 8, a company co-founded by former player Diana Matheson. To add even more excitement to the mix, Canada is co-hosting the World Cup the following year!

  • One of our favourite things about exploring Canada, or the world for that matter, is spotting wildlife doing their thing. So, if you need a laugh, check out the winners of this year’s Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards.

  • We'll save this one for last. For those who don't use the toilet lid for its intended purpose, you might want to change your tune. Researchers from Colorado Boulder University found that flushing the toilet without the lid closed could be making you sick.
