WEEK 1 CHECK-IN
Hello! How has week 1 been going for you so far? I hope you've been enjoying the challenge and getting a chance to practice your lettering. I wanted to send you a few resources that I hope will help keep you feeling inspired and motivated for the rest of the week.

GET CREATIVE WITH YOUR T
The letter T is one of my favorites because there are so many fun ways to cross them! It's a good chance to experiment with flourishes and to develop your style. In this week's worksheets, I showed 3 different ways/directions that you can cross your T's. Here are a few more examples that you can try or references to look at that might help inspire you to create a new line and shape! Try experimenting with putting the flourishes and curves on the other end or flipping some of the shapes you see below and playing around with thick and thin lines!

Don't forget to turn your paper and adjust accordingly if it helps your brush pen and hand get to where they need to go! I always letter any long horizontal lines vertically because I feel like it's much easier for me to get a nice, long, steady line that way!

BASIC STROKES WORKSHEET
I also wanted to send you the basic strokes worksheet--I like using this as a warm up if I haven't lettered in a bit or if my hands are extra shaky or unsteady, I will switch to doing some basic strokes until I feel more comfortable. You can download it by clicking here:

A few final things--

If the shapes of your letters aren't coming out how you like, try to change something about how you are lettering whether it's your speed (slowing down really helps me!), how you are holding your pen, the direction of your paper, or lettering it in pencil first.

If you want to share your work, snap a pic and send me an email! If you're on Instagram, tag me @atiliay and use the hashtag #betterlettersin15, links are right below.

See you for the next set of worksheets!
