As the end of 2022 approaches we know that many rural and regional families will be getting ready to send a new boarder to boarding school next year or considering it. To kick off the new chapter, we have had a few short chats with with current crop of boarders from right across Australia. Our podcast Destination Boarding - Summer Series: Nailing Homesickness includes some of their best tips for nailing homesickness, best tips for making new friends and settling in, their ultimate packing tip and once all the dust has settled and they're
loving their new digs, they tell us what they miss most about the boarding house when they head home for the holidays. It's gold! Adelaide and I were inspired by the insightful observations of these young students.Pop it on in the car or encourage your 2023 boarder to listen. They'll definitely get something out of it, and if nothing else, they'll know that their feelings and emotions are normal. There's comfort in that.
