March is Women's History month!
Hey Friends!

Can you believe it's March already? Me neither! But, each year when March rolls around and the announcements of Women's History Month make their way to national publications, radio and TV segments and social media, I always take a moment to reflect on the impact and trail-blazing “her-story” women have made in the wine industry in the past few decades. Among the top wine regions in the world with the most female winemakers, the Pacific Northwest is right up there, and here in Idaho, we have an astonishing number of talented women who are producing award-winning wines year after year…

This list certainly makes me proud to be an Idahoan!
If you're interested in getting out and experiencing wines from any of these award-winning, women winemakers, consider booking a Vine-to-Wine tour with me this year!

IdaHome Magazine has been the focal point of my coffee table for the last three years. Its colorful imagery and binge-worthy articles showcasing all things Idaho is usually snatched up and stowed away as carry-on by anyone who visits. But as a food and wine professional, imagine my thrill when I learned IdaHome was releasing a quarterly spinoff called Flavor featuring all the glorious food, beer, cocktails and most of all wine! being produced in southern Idaho. I connected with the magazine's founder recently who asked if I'd consider writing for them. Wait, what? A chance to write about wine? Wine from Idaho? Uh, yes, please! My first article as contributing wine writer is out this month! (Check out a digital copy here).

For my inaugural article, I wanted to spotlight our growing wine region of the Snake River Valley AVA, our progressive approach to winemaking, and why Idaho is worthy of your next wine country getaway. Grab a copy, sit back (preferably with a glass of wine!), and revel in the beauty that is our IdaHome.

Cheers!
