You saw this one coming!

 

So many of my clients use the word “fancy” to describe the clothes they fear wearing, but actually want to wear deep down.

 

This hesitation is often rooted in the expectation of receiving unwelcome comments from acquaintances, coworkers, and even loved ones that sound something like:

 

“Where are you going all dressed up?”

 

All this tells me is that the commenter has regrets of their own. 

 

Say “thank you, I'm having fun!” and move along.

 

 

This takes practice! Starting today.

 

I want you to pull out an item that is too fancy for where you're going and what you're doing today.

 

Put it on. Put one foot in front of the other.

 

If you feel nervous about this, GOOD. You're doing something exciting. Lean in and don't back away from the edge.
