Hi First name / friends,
Happy new year!
Your inbox and social media feeds are likely filled with a lot of “new year, new me” posts this week, so I want to be mindful about not contributing to the noise. If you're not in that headspace, I know that sort of messaging can make you feel bad and that's not my intention.
However, I gently want to say this…
Do you ever have a little voice in your head telling you that you're meant for more in this life? Like, things may be going okay now, but you secretly know they can be better? If so, I urge you to listen to that voice.
A new year is an invitation for you to go deep and connect with your innermost desires. What is it you want to accomplish this year? What do you know you want for yourself? Perhaps it's something that feels too out of reach or too difficult to get.
Being scared is okay. But how can you move past that fear (or worse, comfort) to honor yourself this year?
Remember, nothing changes if nothing changes. Read that again.
A lot of people will tell you to be cautious about making big grandiose plans this month because so many people quit their resolutions by February. I understand where that sentiment is coming from and mostly, I think it's well intentioned.
But here's the thing. A new year is a new beginning. There is an infectious energy around us filled with possibility and expansion. What better time than now to commit to yourself?
It doesn't need to be a huge goal. In fact, I encourage you to start small. Afterall, it's the small daily actions we take that actually have the biggest impact long term. What's one small thing you can commit to doing for yourself this week/month/year?
Wishing you a weekend full of bravery and courage.
xo,
Lisa Michelle
