“I believe that we should support people in finding a creative practice whether for a hobby or a career. The January Challenge will spark the creative side of the brains of 64 million people!

Creativity really helps me with my mental health. I believe that poetry changed my life, it opened doors for me that I don’t believe would have opened. I’ve been able to make a career out of my creativity.”

Watch Chrissie tell us more about her creative challenge…

Select an 'odd' item around you. Write a ten line poem about the object, that describes the item and how it impacts your senses.

Your lines can be short, long, rhyming or non-rhyming.
Give it a go, and see what happens!

Welsh Translation:
Dewis wrthrych ar hap rywle o'th gwmpas. Ysgrifenna gerdd deg llinell am y gwrthrych, sy'n disgrifio'r gwrthrych a'i effaith ar dy synhwyrau.

Gall dy linellau fod yn fyr neu'n hir a gallant odli neu beidio.
Rho gynnig arni a gweld beth fydd yn digwydd!

Did you feel like your poem matched the style of your object or did it offer a new perspective?
