The ball has dropped, the ornaments stored away, and the last of the pine needles have been swept up for the season. Itās officially January and I have to say, as excited as I am for a new year, Iām not sure Iām ready to get out of the fog that is the last two weeks of December and live in reality again.
Here are a few things Iām doing to my home to keep it cozy & to soften the blow of our Holiday break coming to a close:
Slowly bringing decor back into each space to reevaluate where I want everything to go or if I even still want it at all.
Rearranging furnitureā¦or at least considering it. Before everything is back where it was before Christmas, try moving your furniture around to see if there is a layout you like better!
Assessing our lighting. I love the glow of Christmas lights on the treeā¦should I add a lamp or two to our living room to give it a similar cozy feel?
Putting away: anything holiday specific. Keeping out: anything cozy with winter vibes. Goodbye Christmas trees, hello snow globes! So long Nutcrackers, stay a little longer white sherpa throw blanket
Iām swapping out Holiday Playlists with cozy ones (I love Hipster Cocktail Radio & Piano Pop Music)
