Hi First name / love, Happy 2023! After three weeks of binging reality tv (Traitors, anyone?!), this weekend I finally summoned enough energy to get off the couch and putter around the house. I don't know about you, but I love puttering and working on projects in the winter. After spring, summer, fall, and the holidays wreak havoc on my house & habits, winter is when I get to put everything back in its place. I tune in. I tidy. I take things apart and put them back together. It's a quiet, intentional time when I make very long to-do lists and actually check off everything on them. How do you like to spend your winter days and nights? Hit reply and let me know where you're focusing your attention this season. |

Over the past few years, I've learned that the more closely I align my work and life with the seasons, the better I feel. Sometimes that means aligning with the external seasons, like noticing that dawn comes later in winter and letting myself sleep past eight every day until spring. Other times, it means attuning to my internal seasons, and noticing that even when life is exuberantly active in the summer, my body mostly wants to slow to a snail's pace and lounge on the couch. Either way, the more intentionally I align with the rhythms and cycles of my life —rather than other peoples' lives or societal expectations — the closer I get to the stuff of my dreams. My partner. My podcast. My business. All of them have arrived after I released things I thought I should want — a person, an idea, a job — and started channeling my energy toward my deeper purpose. How did I do that? With all the tools we're exploring in Living Systems. 🌱 |

This year, my friend + mentor mary grace allerdice and I are offer four cohort-based courses on cyclical rhythm design for life + work. The first cohort starts on February 16th, and it will explore all things Earth, Projects, and learning to feel into Enough. For this season + elder element, we’re focused on scaffolding, structures + limits. You’ll design cyclical, seasonal rhythms to honor your energy while bringing your projects to life. By the end of this cohort, you’ll be able to : - better to appreciate + define “what is enough” work
- create priorities for the year, quarter + season to be your North Star
- clarify + scope your projects so things get done with less overwhelm + more flow
- create project templates (think checklists, vision boards or notion dashboards) for recurring work to give future-you a boost!
Living Systems is for creatives, freelancers + small business owners who want sexy, sensitive and alive systems that support your resilience, impact and finding that flow state. We created the materials from our research, creative work lives + personal discoveries into how to live in alignment with our embodied limits, while also honoring our capacities to vision, dream + bring worlds to life. If you want to do More without doing more, this course is for you. |

I'll write to you again next week with one more note about seasons, projects, and how systems can improve our lives. Until then, my loves! ♡ |
