First name / Friend, we hope you're having a great week so far! Welcome back to our Health and Wellness Day! Within this segment, we will cover interesting new studies and focus in on any unique information regarding your overall physical and mental health. Today, we wanted to talk about the importance of exercise. We had an amazing conversation with Dr. Ivette Santiago, MD about the importance of exercise in our everyday lives. Dr. Santiago has been a family physician for over 30 years and owned her own practice for 25 years. She saw patients ranging from the pediatric stage all the way up to the elderly stage. We took her information to share with you guys below:
Exercise is essential for maintaining a healthy body and mind. It not only helps us maintain a healthy weight and improve our cardiovascular health, but it also improves our mood and reduces the risk of chronic diseases such as diabetes and heart disease. Regular exercise also helps to improve our sleep and boost our energy levels, making it easier to tackle the tasks of the day. Additionally, it has been proven to reduce stress and improve mental health.
But exercise doesn't just have to be about losing weight or getting in shape. It can be anything that gets your body moving, whether that be a brisk walk, a yoga class, or a game of pickup basketball. The key is to find something that you enjoy and that you can stick to.
So, make it a point to include some form of exercise in your daily routine. Even just a few minutes of physical activity can have a positive impact on your overall health and well-being. Plus, it's a great way to clear your head and get some fresh air. Stay safe.
