Hi First name / there,
It's January 27th, and almost the first month of 2023 is over. How are your New Year's Resolutions coming along?
If you're still going strong ~ keep going!
If you've already quit ~ you're not alone!
In our
latest blog post, Kirsten Ahern (if you don't know already, is the
founder of Path Wellbeing) explains her story about trying a notable weight loss app and then realizing (very quickly) it wasn't going to work for her.
Why?
Because the app didn't fit her values, goals, or lifestyle ~ just like your New Year's resolutions may not fit YOU.
Think about it. If you set New Year's Resolutions such as "I'm going to the gym every day to lose weight" or "I'm going to eat clean for an entire year," ~ they're not going to work for you.
Why?
Because you're following the masses and NOT following what's best for you. So that means you have to start slow, understand your intentions (how do you want to feel?), build your goals from there (what do you want to do to obtain that feeling?) and then work with what is actually attainable. It takes time, patience, and support to make it happen. And it all comes down to YOU, your purpose, and how you want to live your life.
At
Path Wellbeing, we've seen numerous clients come our way expecting to change in 1 week, and in reality, if you want to make
sustainable change, it is going to take longer and you need custom-tailored support.
Your journey is unique to you, your goals, and your lifestyle. No one will ever have the same journey as you ~ which is why
New Year's Resolutions are only kept if they are unique to you.
Until next week,
