I don't know about you, but I am so glad the end of the week is here! It has been busy around here (I will talk more about that next). I hope you all had a great week now on to why it's been busy around here, starting with The Glam Budget Lifestyle…
Over at The Glam Budget Lifestyle, I have decided to implement a new email series called “Shop My…” that will feature items like clothes, shoes & accessories, home decor & items for the home, etc. that I love and there will be a shoppable link for each item being featured and all you have to do is click the link to shop the item that you are interested in. The first email is scheduled to be sent out on Wednesday, February 1st! For now this will be sent out every other Wednesday and on alternate Wednesdays, there will be a blog post. If this Shop My…series becomes popular, the series will be sent out every Wednesday (that will end Wednesday blog posts), but for now, every other Wednesday.
Moving on, over at Glam Budget Boutique, things are still in limbo, however I am zeroing in a specific category that I would like to add to my boutique along with the candles and coffee mugs. I am still researching and deciding which way to go, so I soon as I figure everything out, I will let all of you know.
That's all I have for you this week! Now it's time to move on to the recap of what was published on the blog this week, my Friday Favorites, this weekend's sales, Audriana's Corner and this week's recipe…

Now, I don't know if you are having this problem, but it seems that when mama finds a decent dog food for me that I like, it seems to disappear from the shelf after a time and she has to find something else. This happened again a few weeks ago that left mama searching for something else. Well, she found Cesar Dry Dog Food ($9.98 for a 5lb. bag, in the flavor Rotisserie Chicken w/Spring Vegetables). This food has crunchy kibble and tender pieces and I like it (mama mixes this with wet food which I will bark about next) and this food is on the shelf when mama needs to buy a new bag (at least for now).
Mama also adds a little wet food to the dry and she buys me Pedigree Wet Dog Food ($1.56 for a 13.2 oz. can). I simply love this wet food and especially love the flavors Chopped Chicken, Chicken & Rice & Beef. All of these are delicious and I look forward to eating my breakfast and dinner every day!
Hopefully the Cesar dry food and the Pedigree wet food will continue to be on the shelves so mama can buy what I like and not have to search for something else that I may not like or make me not feel well.
That's all I have for you this week! I hope you all have a fantastic weekend and I will bark with you all next week and remember, Adopt, Don't Shop!
These healthy, homemade protein bars are absolutely delicious and easy to make! These protein bars are perfect to take with you when you are on-the-go and they are a perfect snack for the whole family! Here’s the recipe:
1 1/2 Cups Quick or Rolled Oats
1/4 tsp Salt
1/2 Cup Nut Butter (I use no salt added creamy peanut butter from Trader Joe’s)
Mix the first 5 ingredients together until well blended.
Transfer the mixture to an 8-inch pan lined with parchment or wax paper. Place a second sheet of paper on top and use it to press down and spread the mixture until it fills the bottom of the pan evenly.
Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave (30 second intervals).
Spread the melted chocolate chips on top of the mixture and refrigerate or freeze until firm.
Once firm, cut into 12 bars and enjoy!
