Make A Play Foundation (MAP) is a not‐for‐profit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2019 to prepare underrepresented athletes for executive careers in competitive industries, including Fortune 500 companies.

While athletes from underrepresented communities make up 50% of North American sports, there is a stark contrast between the players on the field and those in executive positions off the field—i.e., Fortune 500 Presidents and Vice Presidents, ACHE Hospital CEOs, Partners at Vault 100 Law Firms, General Managers, Athletic Directors, Head Coaches, and Agents. Without a clear or defined pathway to enter positions of leadership, many underrepresented athletes elect not to pursue executive careers in competitive industries altogether, despite their unique set of qualifications.

These disparities—coupled with network gaps, economic barriers, and time constraints—make it increasingly difficult for underrepresented athletes to access or envision themselves in executive leadership roles. Our year-round career training programs seek to remove the mystery and intimidation that surround these career paths by serving as a resource for underrepresented students athletes that want to "fall forward" into future leadership roles.

MAP's Development League (D-League) is a free, three-month professional development fellowship that prepares college athletes entering their junior or senior season for competitive careers in leading industries.

About the Changemaker Conference. This is the annual celebration towards taking radical action to change the world around us for the benefit of everyone. The virtual conference will highlight some of the biggest issues that we are facing and people who are working towards those solutions and offer practical ways and applications to achieve results during your changemaking journey.
The desire for change has never been as strong as it is now. After being in a worldwide lockdown for over two years it gave people the time to reflect on what they want the future and their lives to look like. After some enlightening moments of political unrest and economic uncertainty there is an unprecedented desire to move towards a better future.
It will be imperative that people come together with ideas and actions to be the solution to the bigger problems. Herein lies the power of the changemaker community a place where you can come to get support with people who see what you see or believe what you believe. We are creating a space where people who desire or know that they are changemakers can join to change the dynamic indifference, stagnation and overwhelm to motivation and achievement. We’ve been waiting for you!
