DIRECTOR OF YOUTH SERVICES
SALARY - $75,000 Annually
 
Ideal Candidates for the Director of Youth Services will be a high-energy, responsible, organized, and passionate about working with youth Candidates should display patience, the ability to be flexible, have excellent behavior management skills and the ability to make independent decisions and take initiative. Successful candidates will have Youth Work/Youth Development experience, and should be comfortable working with diverse, and system impacted youth and families. Candidates should possess knowledge on Indiana Systems of Care, knowledge on child abuse and neglect, child and adult development, and appropriate knowledge of community resources.
 
A Director of Youth Services is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Power and Promise, Day Reporting, Mentoring, Tutoring, and Restorative Justice initiatives, including hiring staff, managing program budget and advocacy for the program to potential participants and partners. Their duties include setting the scope of the program, setting deadlines and delegating tasks to team members.
 
The Director of Youth Services determines the operations structure for each project and makes choices about funding, staffing, reporting and marketing. They appoint employees to key program roles and delegate tasks based on their skills and experience. Program Directors communicate with senior management about the progress of their programs.
 
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee daily operations of VOICES community-based services and sites
  • Provides creative direction for all services and programs
  • Completes program and reviews; prepares program for internal and external    evaluations/Audits
  • Hire, train and be a motivating mentor to approximately 10- 15 staff members.
  • Lead large group discussions to answer questions and remedy complaints.
  • Create and nurture effective communication within the organization.
  • Build a strong team through open communication and by collaborating on decision-making responsibilities.
  • Initiate and set goals for programs based on the organization’s strategic objectives.
  • Plan programs from start to finish, including identifying processes, deadlines and milestones.
  • Develop and approve operations and budgets.
  • Ensures program meets requirements of all funders, and stakeholders.
  • Maintains open communications with all funding and referral sources and engages community members/organizations for partnership possibilities.
  • Facilitates staff/contractor supervision, scheduling, training, and professional development.
  • Ensures that QA/QI procedures are followed.
  • Provide monthly support; discuss needs, progress, or concerns with all staff/contractors
  • Responsible for data collection, and reporting
  • Maintain all necessary documentation, record keeping for licensing, regulations, and contracting.
  • Develop new initiatives to support the strategic direction of the organization.
  • Develop and implement long-term goals and objectives to achieve the successful outcome of the program
  • Report evaluation findings to the Executive Director and recommend changes to enhance the program, as appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS
 
• Minimum BA/BS in Human Services, Psychology or related field
• 5 years’ experience in a position with progressive responsibilities in areas of administration, writing and implementing individual objectives and goals, and supervision. 
• 5 years’ experience working with youth and families
• Experience with person-centered planning approaches and positive behavioral supports preferred
• Experience with Healing Centered Engagement approaches
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle is required with proof of auto insurance
• Possess good writing and oral skills to effectively communicate individuals’ needs and objectives as well as providing training and supervision to staff.   
• CPR and First Aid Certifications are a condition of employment.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
 
POWER & PROMISE PROGRAM DIRECTOR
SALARY - $65,000 Annually

Successful candidates will have Youth Work/Youth Development experience, and should be comfortable working with diverse, and system impacted youth and families. HOME-BASED CASE MANGER
PAY $47.59/HR - CONTRACT
 
Home-Based Case Managers will follow all requirements and outcome goals of DCS service standards. Services will be provided according to the Indiana Practice Model in such providers will build trust-based relationships with families and partners by exhibiting empathy, professionalism, genuineness and respect. Services will be high quality, family centered, and culturally competent. This position is designed to safely maintain children in their homes (or foster home); prevent children's initial placement or reentry into foster care; preserve, support, and stabilize families; and promote the well-being of children, youth, and families.
 
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Services can also occur in the school, community or facility. Home-based Caseworker Services provides any combination of the following kinds of services to the families as approved by DCS/Probation:
  • Home visits
  • Participation in DCS Case planning
  • Supervised visitation
  • Coordination of services
  • Conflict management
  • Emergency/crisis services
  • Child development education
  • Domestic violence education
  • Parenting education/training
  • Family communication
  • Facilitate transportation
 
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum BA/BS in Human Services, Psychology, or related field
  • (Other Bachelor’s degrees will be accepted with 39 credit hours in human services or education)
  • 3 years’ experience providing a service to families that need assistance in the protection and care of their children and/or providing skills training, development, and habilitation.
  • Experience with person-centered planning approaches and positive behavioral supports
  • Experience with behavior management
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to use a private car to transport self and others and must comply with the state policy concerning minimum car insurance coverage.
  • Possess good writing and oral skills to effectively communicate individuals’ needs and objectives.

LIFE COACH
PAY $25/HR-CONTRACT
 
Responsible for enriching the lives of their clients. Life Coaches work with people of all ages and stages in life to identify and achieve goals by suggesting different actions necessary to take control of their future. Candidates should display patience, have excellent behavior management skills, detail oriented, ability to make independent decisions and take initiative to name a few.
 
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Weekly engagement with clients (community, phone, & ZOOM)
• Regular communication with Management Team over client’s plans/goals to ensure quality and effective services are provided
• Positive communication strategies along with paid incentives plans to motivate clients to work on and reach their goals
• Assist/guide clients to implement difficult changes/adjustments
• Provide encouragement and constructive feedback to clients
• Consistent, accurate, and timely documentation of all required client’s records
• Instruct clients on daily management of everyday task to help gain independence
• Participate in staff meetings and in service training as required
 
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Guidance and Counseling or Certified Life Coach preferred
• 60 credit hours in social service field
• High School Diploma or HSE
• 2 to 5 years’ experience working with youth and families
• Experience with in-person-centered planning approaches and positive behavioral supports
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle is required.
 
TUTOR
PAY $25/HR-CONTRACT
 
Our Tutors will promote literacy, math, and academic development to help school aged students raise performance to a level consistent with state education standards. The services will be provided through one on one direct sessions, or small groups of 2-4 students. Tutors will be responsible for providing evidence based strategies in an appropriate manner based on the student’s age, academic ability, learning styles, characteristics and special needs. Tutors will develop/design an education plan to address the student’s needs taking into consideration things such as race, culture, ethnicity and personal history.
 
Tutors will incorporate a variety of learning tools/styles in various places in the community such as libraries, museums, or anywhere that promotes learning. Services may take place after school, weekends, and/or anytime school not in session. Tutors must be committed to on-going professional and social development.
 
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Complete student assessments within 10 days of receipt of referral
  • Research and implementation of evidence based curriculum
  • Implement parental and educator engagement plans
  • Report student progress to caregivers and teachers
  • Complete re-assessments at minimum every 90 days
  • Plan and establish a safe learning environment for all participating students
  • Create and implement education plans based on the completed assessment
  • Document all tutor sessions in progress notes located on Google Drive
  • Adhere to VOICES guidelines & policies and to those of the facility, reporting any incidents or problems as outlined in the policy and procedure manual
  • Be a positive role model to students, care givers, and educators
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree(B.A.); or at minimum 60 hours of post-secondary education credit   hours in education, social work, psychology, or related field
  • At least two years’ experience working with youth and families
  • Well-versed in the curriculum they will be helping the students with
  • 21 years of age

DRIVER
PAY $20/HR-CONTRACT
 
Responsible for safely operating an 11 or 15 passenger van to pick up and drop off students to and from their home and our building in Fountain Square.
 
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide Transportation of consumers to and from scheduled activities in the community
• Maintain vehicle in a safe and clean manner
• Adhere to and promote the Corporate Compliance Program at VOICES Corp.
• Reliable, responsible, self-sufficient driver to work the hours of 7-9am and 3-5pm (M-F)
• Report any issues or incidents to management
• Inspection of van
• Communicate students absences
 
QUALIFICATIONS
Valid Driver’s License; 21+ years of age
• Able to pass background checks
• Able to pass a drug screen: Strong work ethic
 
All occupants required to wear a mask and practice 6 feet social distancing when possible
 
POWER & PROMISE FACILITATOR
PAY $25/HR-CONTRACT

Candidates should the ability to be flexible, have excellent behavior management skills, and the ability to make independent decisions. Successful candidates will have youth development experience, and should be comfortable working with diverse, and system impacted youth and families. 
 
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Delivery of the youth workshops and its activities in accordance with the mission and the goals of the organization
  • Enable youth to participate through developing collective action and learning
  • Use a range of educational methods and techniques
  • Build relationships with the community and schools for youth outreach
  • Attends bi-weekly VOICES staff meetings
  • Communicate progress, concerns, program needs to Director of Community Engagement
  • Assistance with coordination of transportation services for students, as needed
  • Facilitators may also support parents, service partners and community members in multiple capacities
  • Design and plan the group process and select the tools that best help the group progress towards that outcome.
  • Attend required training and mentoring sessions
  • Assist in record keeping, data collection, and student assessments
  • Assist with design and implementation of community engagement opportunities, workforce development, creative arts programming, and academic enrichment.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalency in experience preferred
  • 3 years demonstrated experience working with youth and families
  • Demonstrated experience in group facilitation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Great collaboration and teamwork skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Experience with delivering Trauma Informed Care principles
  • Must pass all DCS required background checks
