I know our society is hyper-focused on weight loss, and I admittedly, of course, help women with it all the time. But I have recently been reminded by my own mourning and grief that not all weight loss is good - or intentional. So, the next time you notice that someone has lost weight, instead of commenting on it - or even complimenting them on it, take a deep breath and intentionally choose to compliment them on something else. Our weight, though incredibly important for so many reasons, really shouldn't be a public topic of conversation. It's also one of the least interesting things about all of us. We are so much more than what we look like x
