If you want to know more about these journals, go back and watch the very first part of last week’s lesson.  This is our favorite notebook to use as we listen to conference.  It has a place for notes, for promptings, and for application.  We love the weekly prep for before conference weekend and also the section at the end that helps you make the most recent General Conference talks part of your life moving forward.  These sell out quick, but we thought you would love this resource.

An object lesson for teaching the sermon on the mount.
 
Teaching Tips for Kids
Either cut out these pictures, or find the objects represented in these pictures throughout your house.  Have each of your kids pick one object they want to know more about.  Have each child stand at the front of the room with their object while you describe what the object represents scripturally.  Then ask them what their favorite part of the lesson is. 
 
Teaching Tips for teens
We love to cut out each of these scriptures with their verses and attach them to the object in the picture.  Ask your teens to research their verses and be prepared to teach one lesson they learn.  Take turns going around the room and letting each person talk about what they learned.
 
Teaching tips for individuals and couples
Spend some time reading through Matthew 6-7.  You might focus on what you learn about prayer.  Consider looking at every lesson through the eyes of an object lesson.  What other objects might you add to this list in the journal if you were teaching this week?
 
 
Don't Miss This in the New Testament
Come Follow Me 2023 Study Tools
Maybe you know this about us by now, but we are both visual, hands on learners.  Because of that, we are always trying to discover study tools that will help bring the scriptures to life in your home.  We will be using several different study tools this year, here is what we love most about each of them:

Videos:
For the New Testament we will be recording all new hour long vides, but this year they will be broken into ten minute segments in case you want to watch them for ten minutes every weekday, or you can watch them all at once.  These videos are totally free and can be found on YouTube or on our APP.

Journal:
The journals for the next four years have been totally redesigned with a theme in mind.  You will find questions to ponder daily that can be used for teaching or family discussions.  There are workbook pages based off of our most favorite part of each lesson that week.  You can also use these workbook pages for lessons or discussion.  There will also be a space for recording one name of Jesus Christ each week.

Devotional Book:
Perfect for a 5-10 minute lesson, these books can be used as a devotional every day.  This book is designed for personal study or family study.  We love to use ours around the dinner or breakfast table.

Word a Week Posters:
Perfect for a three minute study, these posters include one word and one verse a week for pondering.  Hang them somewhere in your home where they will be a daily reminder of Come, Follow Me.  This year we will be studying one name of Jesus Christ found in that week’s lesson.  By the end of the year we will have come up with 52 names.

Tip Ins:
These are small papers that can be glued right in your scriptures with tips and truths that will help to improve your study.

Stickers:
Use these colorful stickers in the margins of your Scriptures or in your Don’t Miss This Daily study journal.

Hopefully these tools will make your scripture study something you look forward to!
