Hi friends, Ā I have a busy and unconventional week ahead; a big presentation that I worked on for weeks, a pleasant work lunch, a new in-person training experience, and recording videos for a few hours (not for Instagram). All of these require⦠outfit planning. Ā I totally surprised you there, didnāt I? You thought I would say mental and emotional readiness, right? Ā So, outfit planning is one of my top three goals this week. Yes, sometimes weekly goals are just as simple as picking clothes ahead of time to feel at ease on the days of the event(s). Ā Do you think about your outfits ahead of time, or are you a last-minute outfit picker, like me, most times? I honestly want to break the last-minute pattern, so Iāll set some time tomorrow to check suitable clothes for each occasion. Ā This also happens to be the week my evenings get busy again with checking on kidsā schoolwork and reading emails from school. On the bright side, Ā evenings will get quieter with an earlier bedtime. Ā I look forward to next week when I Ā get used to the new evening routines and all these big events I mentioned become achievements to write about in my weekly review.Ā Ā Wish me luck please. |

A memory of chaotic snow days last week |
|
This week, I continue to share with you my digital life report according to my favorite social media management appĀ Appblock:Ā - I spent -45% less on my phone than the week before (an abnormal week of habits course launch, remember?)
- The daily average was 2 Hours 51 Min, compared to 5 Hours 14 Minutes in the previous week.
- My top three apps were WhatsApp, Instagram, and Netflix in order.
Below are the rules I shared with you last week and how I did: - 20 minutes of Netflix phone app: Achieved, except for Saturday, as I watched a show during my monthly nails appointment (after getting some good reading done) and at home while doing some chores, so this rule will not apply to weekends. The updated rule for the week of Feb 12: 20 minutes of Netflix phone app on Sunday-Wednesday.
- 1 hour on Instagram daily (as a max especially on posting days, content creators will get this): Achieved; so easily. The average was 30 minutes, and the maximum time spent was on Friday (45 minutes), but again, I did not share any posts last week, which demands me to stay more on the platform, especially after posting, so I will see how this rule stands when I share posts.
Ā Share with me your rules, I would love to know some of them and perhaps I will share them to inspire my social media friends. |

Ā 4. š§ Understand anxiety better and work with it: " When you see something frightening, your brain snaps its focus onto it. That's how it evolved, to keep you safe. It wants to escape the danger, then relax. But it runs into a problem. The cognitive, verbal part of your brain grabs the frightening experience and starts telling stories about it." Ā |
|
Ā 5. š¬ The world is celebrating love š this week, so here is a quote from one of my favorite spiritual books (A Return to Love): Ā |
|
āLove is what we were born with. Fear is what we have learned here. The spiritual journey is the relinquishmentāor unlearningāof fear and the acceptance of love back into our hearts. Love is the essential existential fact. It is our ultimate reality and our purpose on earth. To be consciously aware of it, to experience love in ourselves and others, is the meaning of life.ā ā Marianne Williamson, A Return to Love |
