Three things I am making, loving + thinking about this week: caesar-d + bells + water (again) |
Caesar anything with caesar-d |
Authentic Caesar dressing is traditionally made with egg yolks and anchovies, but this plant-based tahini version hits all the same punchy, umami notes sans the fish and eggs. It relies on heavy flavor hitters like miso, nutritional yeast, capers, and Dijon mustard. Anything can be Caesar’d with a good Caesar dressing. Put this on roasted broccoli, top with breadcrumbs, and you’ve got Caesar’d Broccoli. Toss some with soba noodles and veg, you’ve got a Caesar Soba Noodle Salad. Try it on cucumbers, kohlrabi, kale… You get the idea. Next week I will share my Kale Caesar Salad with Breadcrumbs recipe that uses Caesar-D. In the meantime, go forth and Caesar! |

I use the Insight Timer app for my daily meditation practice. I’ve tweaked the settings to exactly how I like them – timing, bell sounds, and volume. I’ve shared a walk through of how my Insight Timer app is set up for a 15 minute meditation with a 1 minute warm up and 2 minute “let go”. |
TL;DR - Use water instead of vegetable stock
- Use water instead of oil (I include directions for swapping out oil for water in the Caesar-D recipe)
- Use water instead of plant-based milk in smoothies (I also swap in water for milk when I make oatmeal)
