We talk about these conference journals again at the end of this lesson.  This is our favorite notebook to use as we listen to conference.  It has a place for notes, for promptings, and for application.  We love the weekly prep for before conference weekend and also the section at the end that helps you make the most recent General Conference talks part of your life moving forward.  We accidentally sold old Rio’s supply in our first video about this, but she is doing a reprint…so if you are interested, order right away ;)

We are so excited about these journals.  Here is the link!!

This Week's Printable

How to bring a friend to Christ.

Teaching Tips for Kids
Have a conversation with your kids about how they might share what they love most about Jesus Christ with a friend.  As you go through each of the questions, talk about how to notice someone being left out, how to include everyone, how to comfort someone who is sad, how to talk about faith, etc.  Teach about the importance of talking of Christ with those we are close to.

Teaching Tips for teens
We love the invitation from Elder McConkie from his most recent conference address,

“The qualities exhibited by the four friends are worth considering and emulating. They are bold, adaptive, resilient, creative, versatile, hopeful, determined, faithful, optimistic, humble, and enduring.
Additionally, the four emphasize the spiritual importance of community and fellowship.  In order to bring their friend to Christ, each of the four must carry their corner. If one lets go, things get more difficult. If two give up, the task effectively becomes impossible. Each of us has a role to play in the kingdom of God.”
James W. McConkie III

Ask your teens which of those qualities feel the most like their personality. Then have them look at the worksheet and fill in the promptings that come.

Teaching tips for individuals and couples
Consider what it might look like to Carry your Corner, especially in regard to your ministering assignment.  Read through the story of the four friends in Mark and in Luke, and then spend some time pondering the thoughts from Elder McConkie’s talk.
What promptings come to you?  Write them in on the worksheet.

Don't Miss This in the New Testament
Come Follow Me 2023 Study Tools
Maybe you know this about us by now, but we are both visual, hands on learners.  Because of that, we are always trying to discover study tools that will help bring the scriptures to life in your home.  We will be using several different study tools this year, here is what we love most about each of them:

Videos:
For the New Testament we will be recording all new hour long vides, but this year they will be broken into ten minute segments in case you want to watch them for ten minutes every weekday, or you can watch them all at once.  These videos are totally free and can be found on YouTube or on our APP.

Journal:
The journals for the next four years have been totally redesigned with a theme in mind.  You will find questions to ponder daily that can be used for teaching or family discussions.  There are workbook pages based off of our most favorite part of each lesson that week.  You can also use these workbook pages for lessons or discussion.  There will also be a space for recording one name of Jesus Christ each week.

Devotional Book:
Perfect for a 5-10 minute lesson, these books can be used as a devotional every day.  This book is designed for personal study or family study.  We love to use ours around the dinner or breakfast table.

Word a Week Posters:
Perfect for a three minute study, these posters include one word and one verse a week for pondering.  Hang them somewhere in your home where they will be a daily reminder of Come, Follow Me.  This year we will be studying one name of Jesus Christ found in that week’s lesson.  By the end of the year we will have come up with 52 names.

Tip Ins:
These are small papers that can be glued right in your scriptures with tips and truths that will help to improve your study.

Stickers:
Use these colorful stickers in the margins of your Scriptures or in your Don’t Miss This Daily study journal.

Hopefully these tools will make your scripture study something you look forward to!
