Bonjourno from Italy!

My fam and I are in Trastevere, our favorite neighborhood in Rome. We've come searching for stories, as I've got nothing on the docket after my work-in-progress, tentatively called When All the Lights Turn Green (August 2024). And I keep thinking that it would be fun to set every second or third book in Europe, or at least, outside of the US.

I'm nearly comatose from a glorious pizza from Dar Poeta, which is one of the finest pies on earth. My wife had pesto potato and I had one with artichoke, uncooked chunks of bufala mozz, and olives. Do I even mention that we're eating cacio e pepe pasta tonight at one of Anthony Bourdain's favorite spots? As if that wasn't enough, tomorrow we're day-tripping to Naples to settle once and for all the argument between my wife and me apropos Neopolitan vs. Roman pizza. Her family is from Naples, so I think it's cute that she's so loyal despite being so very wrong. The joke's really on me though because I've gained about forty-five pounds.

I'm not writing to rub it in. Well, maybe a little. More importantly, I want to share the cover for my new… wait!

Can I tell you about the gelato I had the other day? Two scoops, one with black rice and rose petals, the other: celery and lime. I know… weird but damn near life changing.

Back to this cover reveal that I keep rolling out like a sheet of pasta. A Stars Don't Lie hits shelves August 22nd, 2023. It's about a guy who returns to his tiny hometown in Vermont for the first time in twenty years. Here's a hint: it's not going to be easy for him. Stars is available for pre-order right now, right here.

Next time, I'll share more about Rome, but for now, doesn't this cover look lovely? I am so grateful and lucky.
