Hi there!
When it comes to eating…
….food habits and eating patterns are deeply ingrained into our way of life, and therefore they are very resistant to change. Foods that we have come to associate with love and security in childhood continue to bring comfort all through out our life.
So it comes as no surprise that early family experiences around food play a tremendous role in shaping lifelong eating habits. Cultural background and ethnic group are also very important in determining our individual food practices; they dictate which foods are considered appropriate and inappropriate for different occasions.
Fortunately, food habits are learned behaviors, so once you identify those that may be harmful rather than beneficial to your health, you can formulate and put into motion a plan for unlearning them and substituting other behaviors that are good for you.
Yet why go at it alone?
