Congrats to Dr. Bush!
Our doctors are always seeking continuing education opportunities to ensure they are up to date on the latest techniques and treatments. Congratulations to Dr. Conrad Bush for recently receiving his certification in Active Release Technique, a soft-tissue treatment that can help rehab injured or dysfunctional muscles. Over the last several months, Dr. Bush committed numerous hours to his studies. In January, he traveled to Bloomington, Minnesota for testing and was awarded certification a short time later.

Bringing elite athlete rehab to the Cedar Valley!
by Dr. Conrad Bush

Active Release Technique (A.R.T.) was first established by Dr. Michael Leahy as a way to help high performing athletes recover from injury faster and without surgical intervention. Now, thanks to Dr. Leahy's certification program, A.R.T. is available to more than just elite performers, and I'm excited about the opportunity to bring this treatment to the Cedar Valley.

Like most students who are in Chiropractic school, I was exposed to a host of techniques and strategies to help the body function better and improve movement. Essentially, ways to improve on the normal function of a tissue so that it does its job better. I first heard about A.R.T. while spending time in the rehab department at Palmer. At the time, I didn’t know what it did or how it worked, but I would watch as the Doctors would treat and see changes in range of motion quickly. More impressively, I could hear first hand from the patient how the treatment felt and how they felt after. It was so impactful that by the end of the visits I would hear people eagerly ask “how soon they could come back” rather than “how long until I need to do this again” in a frustrated tone. I knew it was something I needed to add to my “toolbelt”.

A new chapter is turning…
by Dr. Robert Ebert

After over 50 years of practicing chiropractic, I am announcing my retirement effective Friday, April 28, 2023.

I have come to know many of my patients and their families as friends, and I am honored that so many of you have placed trust in my care. Caring for you has, without a doubt, been the most rewarding part of my career!

Dr. John Schofield and the rest of the care team at Schofield Chiropractic Group will continue to provide quality, compassionate care. I am pleased to announce that Dr. Lauren Block will be joining our practice mid-March, and I look forward to the opportunity to introduce you to her.

All of our doctors are graduates of Palmer College of Chiropractic, which means they all practice under the same research-based methodologies. For optimal progression in your treatment plan, it’s important that your visits remain consistent, so please plan to continue treatment with either Dr. Conrad Bush or Dr. Block after my retirement. We don’t want a missed appointment to become a set-back in your health journey! Over the next several weeks I will be introducing you to both doctors and reviewing your history with them to ensure a smooth transition of your care.

It has been a true pleasure to be a part of the team at Schofield Chiropractic Group over the last three years, and so rewarding to watch our group grow to be the Cedar Valley’s most comprehensive chiropractic center for conservative pain management. It is a testament to the staff that we are consistently recognized by our patients for our friendly and welcoming environment, and I will truly miss working alongside them each day.

I'm told a gathering is being planned for my last day at the office and look forward to chatting with you all at that time. In the meantime, I wish you good health and happiness.

Sincerely,

Meet Dr. Block
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Lauren Block will be joining our team later this Spring!
