For every dollar or hour of time they put in… They get a 5-10X return on their investment. That's the advantage they have.
Of course, none of us got into music just for the money but money can fuel the growth of your career (speed), gives you more lifestyle flexibility (time), and allows you to say NO to work that you don't want to do (sanity).
