Meanwhile I've been busy in the studio…

A friend gave me a tip about a large amount of acoustic felt material which was dumpster-bound. I rescued as much as I could and created this screen design using it! 

 

It took some prototyping work with my maker friend Ben to dial in the router cut settings for this wild-card material. Additionally, the design had to work around / with the existing grid of holes.

I'm delighted to continue exploring acoustical art - that which is both beautiful and functional. It's a direct response to my car crash and brain injury from which I still struggle with auditory overwhelm.

The felt acoustical art piece and the work above titled “Good and Evil” are two of the seven pieces I have on display until the end of the month!

I was busy creating through the month of February to prepare for the show!

 

Eclipse (above) is one of my newest works.

These pieces explore the use of ink lines to emphasize geometry!

This iridescent hexagon piece is also on display, as well as this “Red Lines” piece I created last year!
